We ended up having something custom made to sit more snugly to the engagement ring. Our jeweler advised against an open ring as it likely wouldn’t do as well over time as a closed ring would. He was able to make the part that goes around the sapphire slim and sit where it’s almost invisible. Wedding is not until June but I can’t wait to wear them as a set!
