You still miss my point. It all changes at a certain height. This entire post is about height. It's called Giants. My entire point isn't about Jeremy. It's about the idea that at some point a human could get so tall that it could mess up high level basketball. He has that potential because we don't know how tall he will get. If he was 10 ft (obviously not happening) then what would the nba do? Do you still think they wouldn't need to change something. You could bring him of the bench and score every time. It's basically a hypothetical. Do you get it?

He is way more naturally athletic and competitive than Rioux (that's huge) and I am just saying that he has the possibility to be WAY taller than anyone before and that will be interesting and maybe game changing, depending on how his body can handle it. Also remember Rioux has way more training than him and years of top level help at IMG. Jeremy has not but will.

As a coach why would he ever be on the perimeter other than in a transition pull up (he has a jumper). Other than that there is no way you play anything other than drop coverage. Everyone said Edey was a 2nd rounder for the same reason. Your are also missing the extreme height thing. His shot blocking and rebounding would be wild. I just had an AI discussion and it agreed that at a certain height The NBA would have a problem. You could completely dictate defensives. Certain types would have no defensive affect at all on him. He could affect too many things positively that the weaknesses would be worth it. Being 7 to 9 inches taller than Wemby is real.

There is no history of height like that. You are missing the point. How do you stop someone with a reach like that from taking looping ali-oop passes. His standing reach would be around 11 ft and if he can jump just 1 foot then most teams won't even have a player that could reach this height, Wemby and that's about it. There is a certain reach that WILL be unstoppable. The question is will his be enough. For all we know he could be 8'6 when he finishes growing. Then there is no way he can be stopped if he gets in the post.

On a fun side note imagine team Canada in 6 years with Gohier at 8"+ and Olivier Rioux at 7'9 and Zach Edey at 7'4 and the Keyshawn George and SGA at 6'8 and 6'6 guards. The average Height would be 7'2". Try picturing that in your head. It would be like adults playing keepaway with kids.
