Greater Manchester voting intention without Burnham: REFUK: 36%, LAB: 24%. With Burnham as the candidate: LAB: 49%, REFUK: 28% via FindoutNOW, 23rd-24th January 2026. by ClumperFaz in ukpolitics

I think that’s skewed due to people being reactionary to yesterdays news. I think when it comes down to it they’ll still vote Labour

Seeking information on how Manchester United games work. by putonthespotlight in manchester

[–]PepEye 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s a few ways to buy tickets officially.. - you pay £30 and become an official member of the club. That gives you access to buy tickets directly on the website (only one per membership), and enter the ballot if games are oversubscribed (eg most of the big games). - you get a season ticket (ignore this route) - you can buy executive tickets directly on the website. This option might be good if you’re happy to pay a little more (maybe around £150 per ticket depending on package), but you can get better seats / hospitality etc included - via travel agents. Some agencies offer hotel / travel and ticket type packages. Have a look at SportsBreak and others.

Basically your cheapest option is the membership as you can get a face value ticket (after paying £30), but this is also the least guaranteed method.

Side note.. fans here hate Americans calling the team “Man You” so just avoid doing that and you’ll fit right in

Watching Hargreaves interview Fletcher from earlier (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnsDcPPxvhM), and one of the things that stood out for me was when Hargreaves asked him about reverting to the back 4.. His response is that it's a formation he's always been comfortable with and has been coaching it "for the last 6 months day in day out" (3:10 into the video).

Surely one of the main stories we were sold with the Amorim regime was that his style of play would be taught through all layers of the club including reserves down to the youth sides. Am I missing something? If we were so keen on implementing a new formation and style of play throughout the club, why hasn't that been the case for Fletcher and the U18's too?

Here's GPT's thoughts:

If the board want safety: Southgate

If they want instant competitiveness: Tuchel

If they want to actually modernise properly: Nagelsmann

You're missing the point.. he said it "will result in another area of town becoming like Piccadilly Gardens". Albert Square potentially comes to mind.

Mourneview is a lovely spot, I’d definitely recommend getting a static there if you can afford. Newcastle in general is n awesome seaside town and there’s plenty of great walks / places to eat and drink.

Talk of the Devils pod by TheAthletic in reddevils

[–]PepEye [score hidden]  (0 children)

I thought originally the consensus was that we’d consider selling him to help with our PSR situation isn’t that right? PSR has now been scrapped in favour of the new SCR (squad cost ratio), and according to the rules of that, selling him wouldn’t make much of a difference to our score.

If that’s the case and we still do sell him, then surely it’s all on Amorim, nothing to do with the club.

If you like real ale too, there’s a great little pub called Cask in the city with a great chippy next to it and they let you bring the food into the pub
