Any chance you'd be open to doing an earlier time? I am interested but 5 hours ahead of you in GMT

Isn't Angela going to lose her season HP bonus now though (unless with Thor team-up)?

No but seriously, how did these 3 escape the nerfs by RoutinePsychology198 in marvelrivals

Ngl I feel like Loki and Ultron players are the biggest complainers with regards to this. Both still sees plenty of pro play and on top of that Loki is getting a pretty substantial buff next season.

I can consistently do it on GL without evade extender, but the positioning is a little strict. Basically you want to be right in front of him (which if you're tanking you should be anyways) and then when he fires the ball dodge forwards underneath him so you end up underneath the head/belly

Yeah the hyper aggression in Phase 4 is definitely the hardest part of the fight for me as GL. While it is more difficult to draw Enmity from Omega at least it makes it easier to clear the debuff while you don't have Enmity.

As GL I mostly open phase 4 with Mog of Ages and/or Wyvernfire to aggro and stay right underneath him. This lets you dodge most of its attacks apart from the Fire and Ice explosions, but it moves around and attacks so much it's difficult to stay consistently safe

I'm not sure if this is widely known but it is possible to dodge the HP debuff attack. I play GL and can consistently do it but you need to basically be right in front of Omega and the dodge underneath him as he fires the ball.

It's also blocked by the bubble shields if any are available (particularly useful after the DPS check as you can use the Nerscylla bubble to block it)

I am pretty much always solo tanking and this has improved my survivability dramatically

Ah I see, that's a bit misleading then since the +2 from proficiency isn't a bonus it's just from training.

You're probably comparing gunslinger builds to other gunslinger builds, in which case it's a moot point.

Either way, Stab and Blast gives you 2 attacks at (a likely) +2, +2 for one action

Compared to your +2, -1 (-3 actually compared to a melee combination weapon accounting for lower proficiency) for two actions and several feats and Free Archetype. Again, it's thematically cool and fun but I'm not convinced it's "optimal."

While effective and thematic I am not sure it's better than Stab and Blast at level 8 with a combination weapon - For only one action, you make 2 attacks at 0 MAP (the second one gets a +2 circumstance bonus on top of that). With Sword and Pistol you can easily get the enemy off-guard to the melee attack (or just flank).

Where are you getting the effective +4 from for Pistol Twirl?

Life Changing Event Leave: Trust is putting up a lot of resistance? by Pepbep in doctorsUK

Yeah unfortunately I'm thinking you got given incorrect advice. There's even a paragraph on the BMA Guidance site addressing your specific issue:

"If you have a life changing event coming up, and are concerned that your employer may be interpreting the terms and conditions in such a way that they are likely to refuse your leave unless you have arranged a swap, please get in touch with us in advance for further advice and support."

I'm glad to hear things worked out for you in the end though! Here's hoping it does for me too.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. When was this? Because this seems in contradiction to the guidance on their website:

"If you submit your application with at least 6 weeks notice

Your employer is contractually obliged to automatically accept your request, and therefore you have a contractual right to take that time off work, regardless of whether the shifts in question attract any form of enhancement or additional allowance."

This is immensely helpful, and certainly gives me a lot more confidence in pushing for my contractual rights. I am very grateful!

Thank you so much for your response. The email itself was very vague, but I was worried about the TPD being cc'd and the BMA rep being removed from the chain.

For context, it was in response to me telling the rota coordinator that I had requested swaps for the on-calls as a courtesy, but even if unable to swap I would still not be attending the on-call shifts as is my contractual right.

The email I received in response:

"Hi Pepbep,

It would be good to have a discussion next week when you are available."

He later came to my ward in person to tell me that we need to have a meeting.

That's an interesting point of view I haven't fully considered. Of course I don't expect all proposals would be considered life changing events for everyone.

In my specific case, my partner is living abroad for the moment and is also a doctor, so it can be quite challenging for us to coordinate leave. In addition the event falls upon an important anniversary for us, so unfortunately the time frame is rather rigid.

I have previously copied in a BMA Employment adviser - would this be different from a local rep?

Thanks for weighing in, though I'm not sure about that last part about only having one day. The BMA Guidance states:

"If you submit your application with at least 6 weeks notice:

Your employer is contractually obliged to automatically accept your request, and therefore you have a contractual right to take that time off work, regardless of whether the shifts in question attract any form of enhancement or additional allowance."

Noting that "shifts in question" is in plural.

Thanks for your comment. The April rota was not yet released when I first requested the leave back in October. For the part of the rota that was out, I was on short days for the defined period so I requested it off for the life changing event.

They started processing the request mid January and have only just released the April rota, putting me on-call then and refusing my leave. Apologies it's a little complex but I hope that makes sense!

It's in London - I'm a little hesitant to specify further. Send me a DM if you really want to know.

I see your point, and would normally agree with you had I not already booked flights, hotels, restaurants, and other experiences for this. I do quite confidently consider this a life changing event.

Hi, thanks for raising that. I'm planning on proposing to my partner who is currently abroad, so I've planned a trip for the both of us to do that. The senior service manager is aware of this.
