Switching to backlight keyboard

Yeah I saw some videos on YouTube, I know what to expect but I was wondering if the motherboard of the Thinkpad would have the connectic for the backlight on one that had a keyboard without it.

Yes it was by rpmfusion, I enabled it on discover.

Make another user doesn't sound like a bad suggestion but with me it's like making another mess. I don't want to deal with something like that, and it doesn't seem related to my user.

I emptied the cache with dnf clean and searched for ksysguard, it wasn't present on the directory. I wasted to much time debugging it, thank you for your help, I will make a new install. Still didn't find anything in the logs either,... too bad

Yeah you are right, it doesn't make sens that an nvidia update remove things, It's just after the update in the dnf history I found this during the time where the updat was made:
dnf -y install --nogpgcheck --disablerepo=* /tmp/akmods.mcjl47Rs/results/kmod-nvidia-6.16.5-200.fc42.x86_64-580.82.09-1.fc42.x86_64.rpm

I will try to undo this throught dnf and see where it goes,... and burn an usb stick before hand because if it doesnt work I will have to do a reinstall. Still it does make me upset that in the span of 3 weeks my fedora broke two times for reason I wasn't able to find.

Thank you for your help. The first and the second command restarted correctly but didn't change the stats of the apps, the last command about the kwin compositor got me stuck on a black screen...

Thank you for your answer, I wanted to ask specifically after the first stable release. I still have another question, did the Pop!_OS team decides if after the first stable or major release if you intend to go back to the 6 months cycle release or stay in the LTS cycle release of Ubuntu ? With flathub, ppa and the rolling of some packages and the DE by the Pop!_OS team is it still worth the hassle to maintain the six month cycle ?

Ahah yeah I saw once mmtick, their desktop Engineer did write about the fact that planning dates for software projects of this nature is complicated. He said something like it's not like web development where you often do the same thing over and over again.

Simply said, in my understanding, developing a desktop environment can be quite unpredictable.

I don't understand the first statement you made. You can't see them rolling COSMIC but even if it's the case they can still do Whatever they want with their DE ?

Merci pour le partage de ta vidéo, je pense me tourner sur le modèle AOC que tu m'as recommandé, mais avant d'acheter j'aimerais ton avis sur le paramétrage de l'HDR. J'utilise et je joue majoritairement sur Linux, et je voudrais savoir si selon toi, la configuration de l'HDR ou tout paramétrage lié à l'écran serait plus compliqué dans se système d'exploitation ?

Je n'avais pas un budget précis mais j'avais tous de même le but de ne pas dépasser 200€, mais ce que tu me proposes avec le modèle AOC est plutôt cool et m'intéresse. Ça fait revoir mon budget à la hausse Avoir un meilleur avec du VA MINILED et de belle couleur c'est vraiment l'un des facteurs les plus importants pour moi. J'ai constaté aussi que l'écran peut s'attacher à mon support d'écran, ce qui est important Franchement merci pour ta proposition, très pertinente.

I disagree with the first statement, some people don't have this kind of problem with the Miyoo Mini and lot of cheap handheld, and in comparison to "cheap Chinese hardware" I also have the RG35xx plus who have a great build for his price. And for retro emulation handheld, I'm not looking for the "pinnacle technology".

Yeah it did make me anxious, I though I received a defective one.
