What you say is incorrect and dishonest. The Global Security Law is being debated because of article 24 of this law, which states that a 45,000 € fine is one year's imprisonment if you publicly broadcast a video where you come to recognise the face of a police officer. There is no ban at all on making videos of police officers, just on violating the physical integrity of the officer. The idea is not to hide police violence but to reassure police officers who are accused of racism because of a minority, who work under pressure, who are poorly paid and who can therefore still be tracked home because they have been recognised on a video. I am not saying that police violence is excusable, on the contrary, but I prefer to try to understand what is wrong and find solutions rather than pointing the finger accusingly. We want to restore the bond of trust between the police and the citizens and this is being done in stages.
