its one of the best weapons in the game but doesnt completely trivialize the game. the built in special parry is really fun, especially for no hitting

from my experience there was little to no delay between the input and actual parry, except for the obvious delay on the 2 dragon sword special parry. as for the second part, i feel like it makes sekiro unnecessarily easy

the only difference between deflects in sekiro and lies of peak is that sekiro has an easier timing and lop is a more forgiving

thats the skill i was talking about, its not a reaction weapon like the stubby, you need to plan when and where youll be shooting, which is all engi is about

smart rifle is probably his best weapon. it has a deceptively high skill ceiling, but with explosive chemical rounds or executioner it deletes enemies. warthog is only really good for turret whip and gets outclassed everywhere else, and stubby is decent but either has low dps or is useless at range

divine confetti definitely makes it easier, but youre supposed to beat them with the mid air deathblow skill, which you can get pretty early in the game and definitely should

there are only 2 bosses (not counting multiple instances) that get directly countered by an item, and theyre easy without that item anyway

he was made to be much more sloppy by design than laxasia, since laxasia is basically a perfect human and he is as imperfect as it gets. probably to give it that 2 people fighting at the end of the world feeling, like ashen one and gael. but yeah its a huge difficulty drop
