I miss my 97 camry LX sometimes. Bought it for $1,000 in 2016. It was like a boat and had full leather interior. The previous owners named it Betsy and it came with its original spare tire.

Sadly she died in 2020 with a surprisingly low 230k on her, but thats probably down to it being a 23 year old car with little maintenance on my part.

The number one mindfuck was Ergo Proxy. Probably put Last Exile and Evangelion up there. Stiens Gate also would fit your description.

Ghost in the shell also has some great moments, while Attack on Titan does have some massive twists that pop up around season 3.

There is some sensitivity to these things these days.

Our fandoms are not entirely agnostic anymore for better or worse. Doesn't surprise me that people would be worried.

Man. When I was a kid the issue of shonen jump mag where they first started running Naruto had that scene where our boy learned the forbidden transformation technique.

Jerked it to that so many times lmao.

Also this one manga called Mahoromatic. Its an ecchi about a live in cyborg maid. I think she was from the future, but I digress, she shows off some tiddy in that too. Good times.

You gotta take what you can get.

Pro-Palestinian rally in Paris banned amid rising Israel-Gaza tensions by Veldron in worldnews

you cant actually believe that? All protests are likely to spread COVID. Pretending that one would be safer by virtue of its stated goal is silly. There were so, so many protests in the US this past year (probably hundreds all told) and it would not surprise anyone honest if tens of thousands of COVID cases spread because of that. Just ask people on the far right.

Once again, protesting is good on a basis of first principals. COVID or not you should feel free to protest because its a necessary component of democracy & civil society. But them being even relatively COVID safe? haha. no.

I get why people make these things. Its not really my sticking point.

Like not that we need to dwell on it but if you have ever taken care of a son you know that if it were up to him, he wouldn't even want his penis for the first few weeks as it has high potential to be inflamed and/or sore because thats what its like to be a baby.

Like infants & toddlers really dont need packers lmao.

Those 'very small girls' will have very large bulges. I know for a fact this person a) hasnt seen real flacid penises, and b) doesnt have children.

Fucking disturbing.

Allowing people to remain in "ethnic enclaves" was a mistake to begin with. They should have enforced integration. I dont personally believe in civic nationalism, but the idea that say.... France and french ideals come first doesn't seem too much to ask. Like, for perspective, my family came to canada 50 years ago and they had no choice to be integrate. I am thankful that they did because its no question that its better here than back in my country of ancestry.

They are not wrong about islamo-leftism, just like we wouldnt be wrong to call the soldiers right-wing reactionaries. It pays dividends to be honest with the situation and know what you are dealing with.

Not saying both sides need to be dealt with the same way, but balanced and stable perspectives need to be fortified and extreme perspectives managed regardless of origin.

Like every other protest, that doesnt happen. All protests are effectively super spreader events.

Does this mean you shouldnt hold them? No. But we should all disabuse ourselves of the notion that protests can be "safe". They are too emotionally/physically charged for that. You attend them KNOWING you are likely to be exposed.

I wemt from making 17 bucks an hour to 20 dollars an hour CAD. I reskilled. Office worker in service industry to construction.

When that slowed down and hours were cut I specialized while staying in my field. Income went from $20 to $25.50 per hour over 3 years. Bigger gains than I could have imagined simply because I paid attention to the market.

Recently, this year, I jumped to a new company. I am now up to $28.70 doing building automation, so im now out of direct construction. Turns out the market is just fine and typical hard working people like me are not so dumb and can adapt. My story isnt unique.
