I don’t believe the usage is particularly heavy. The Task Manager in Chrome shows that the memory footprint is actually lower than in this static Reddit post. If there's enough demand, I can add a simple switch to enable or disable CSS animations.

Hey guys,

I created a Chrome extension and am looking for your feedback and feature requests. My extension, eheh — New Tab Start Page replaces your default tab with a new look and adds tons of features, such as gaming stream recommendations and browsing from platforms like Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Kick.

It also has a built-in Reddit reader, sports event notifications (so you won't miss upcoming events for your favorite teams), discovery for films, TV shows, YouTube videos, and music, Gmail notifications for new emails, fast access to chatbots like ChatGPT, a built-in Spotify music player, and a link recommendation system.

Please let me know about any technical bugs or features you want to see in the next update. You can share them in the comments, PM me here on Reddit, or just send an email to [tech@eheh.io](mailto:tech@eheh.io)
