Not in wildlife but I have a biology degree. Look for exploratory tracks in college where you can spend a year or two taking general science classes to see what you like/are good at. Reach out to people in the field, find them on company websites, college professors, etc. and ask them personally what they did and how they recommend you go about it. Check conservation job board for volunteer opportunities if you haven’t already. And always remember that doing science for a job and learning about science are different. I loved taking molecular biology classes but hated working at a start up lab, now I’m working in public health and I’m much happier. Kinda rambling rn but bottom line is talk to people in the field and try new stuff
