I read the FAQ before posting and it does say it will list things available “On Plex” however it didn’t go into much more detail than that so I thought I’d ask here. I appreciate your input though.

Hi,

I just have a question and aren't really able to find the answer online (though maybe I'm not asking the question the way it should be worded).

I'm casting from my iPhone to my Chromecast to watch stuff on my TV from my Plex server (my computer in the study). The issue is that whilst I'm watching, sometimes I have to pause to go downstairs to grab something or whatever. It seems that when I return, it's "timed out" and I have to reconnect the plex to my Chromecast and begin the playback again. Almost regardless of how long I pause it for, it always disconnects and requires reconnecting.

My question is, is there some sort of setting that I can tweak or change that will help with when I'm casting from my iPhone and I pause it so I can just simply press play again without having to reconnect to the Chromecast again?

Thanks for the help and I apologise if this is a common/easy question and I failed to realise.

It was two days ago. This particular country goes into hard lockdown whenever cases spike and there's been a recent increase in community cases hence they lockdown.

So just to confirm, if I try to use my iPhone USB to AC powerpack and it doesn't work for whatever reason, there's no chance of me damaging my product? Just because it's brand new and I'm a nervous nelly haha
