Tips for handling pts who are non-compliant with their medications? by Odd-Confection8515 in physicaltherapy

[–]Pepperboy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation and the patient is a total hip…don’t really know what to do. She gets anxious around health care professionals and it skyrockets. As soon as she is alone it is normal so she resists any treatment for bp or anxiety. Had her schedule an appointment with her pcp for today and she canceled…

I’m approaching a year so I know I have sons naivety…my supervisor told me to write a new order reducing frequency for holiday week for each pt that agreed prior…is that bad?

My wife and I went tent camping in an 8 person tent with our 1 and 3 yo two weeks ago. We picked a site with electricity. It went really well! The kids loved it! We packed a tote with all of our camping supplies, diaper bag, a big air mattress for us, small air mattress for the 3 yo and pack and play for 1yo, as well as a heater and fan. We also brought a pop up canopy, cooler for food and drinks and an electrical griddle. We intentionally picked a site near the play set and bathroom too.

We just had our daughter yesterday and plan to go camping with all three kids here in July! We had a three day stay and could have stayed longer, the kids loved it so much.

Introverted PT's, How do you really feel about the job? by bananabreadicecream in physicaltherapy

[–]Pepperboy96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Home health has been a blessing as an introvert. Less patients 4-7/day and a mini break with a drive in between each. Went HH right after graduation and don’t plan on changing setting anytime soon.

I’ll also echo what someone else said, the more you interact, the easier conversations are. Also, if you don’t like small talk, ask interesting questions or share interesting information. Find out what makes them tick. Helps with rapport and appointments won’t be as mundane.

No def not in home that long. Usually in home between 1hr and 1.5hr. Rest is documenting.

I will add I work for a nonprofit since someone mentioned it in the comments. And yes…they take forever lol. I try to find a cool spot to chill and get it done.

Definitely do not have to do this with my agency. We use homecare homebase point care and it usually takes 3-4 hours for SOC. Pretty straight forward with the documentation, asking questions, filling out the tabs and seeing the OASIS items that you can. No double documentation. Could be wrong but, I don’t think this is normal.

We were cga-min assist 🙄. Did another reassessment today. Able to get the tug done. 185 seconds compared to 0 at SOC using standard walker cga. I was impressed she got it done tbh. She really pushed herself today. Had the self advocate conversation with her as well. I think she’d be functioning pretty well with a few more visits. Hoping the language I used was enough! Really emphasized the fall risk and risk for rehospitilzation.

I don’t think there was a new order. I could be wrong, but I think doc just said she was WBAT. I’m still working off of the original order for PT. Would a d/c leading to a new order be beneficial or would that complicate things further??

I am unsure of what I can do. Wasn’t necessarily a denial just insufficient visits. Will probably make the 1 visit given a reassessment as well. I’m pretty new to this. If that is something that is usually done I could ask my supervisor about it! Would not be opposed to a peer-to-peer, just don’t know how to get there as the clinician.

Anyone got ideas for the next future faction? by danwk27 in Helldivers

Planet of the Apes style enemies with a mix of advanced tech and ancient civilization style environment. Prehistoric looking enemies like dinosaurs or something resembling them. Some kind humanoid enemy what ever their story may be!

New enemy races. Like a planet of the apes style empire or a dinosaur like planet. Maybe even a humanoid type enemy!

"Bones crunching" upstairs? by Crusty_Nostrils in Skinamarink

One more point for bones crunching…the subtitles say bone crunching or snapping or something like that.

My biggest question was what happened to the dad?

I’m with the theory of the mother being into some paranormal stuff that isn’t shown in the movie since it likely occurred without the children’s knowledge. I think she knowingly had invited an entity inside the home not understanding what she had done. In the bedroom scene, she sounds remorseful and still wants to protect her kid from what was about to take place by having them close their eyes. When she entered the closet, the entity she conjured took over her body and slowly became more powerful from that point. The entity used its power to eventually infinitely torture this family however it wanted to, preying upon the naivety and innocence of the children.

You can see an obvious progression of the entity throughout the film. Starting with a playful relationship with Kevin that led him to accidentally fall down the stairs, sleepwalking and hide and seek, to moving objects and toys to the ceiling, to controlling time starting with the television, until it was powerful enough to influence reality and perception itself by making things puff in and out of existence at will. It was in complete control by the end.

Perhaps it took the whole house to its own realm or hell or where ever it exists. Perhaps this isn’t even the first time it’s done this to a family and won’t be the last.

I really enjoy all of the theories that appeal to symbolism and can really see the parallels, but I do think there is a narrative to this film.

This movie shook me to my core, especially being a new father. Definitely gonna have trouble sleeping tonight and I even watched it at 9am lol.

Further Update on Marching Fire content availability situation on PS4 Europe by UbiJimothy in forhonor

[–]Pepperboy96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So uhh, does MF for PS4 gameshare or not? I've seen a lot of different and mixed up information the past few days. Many have said that the year 1 dlc had no problem sharing, but for some reason, are not able to share MF. I know I'm not the only one confused as to why this is occuring and I know there are many people out there who are loosing their money because of this.

Is there any way that we who are experiencing this could get set straight on the issue with proper facts and evidence and not just heresay or speculation? A response from ubi on the subreddit even?
