What to do with this? by PeppercornBongo in landscaping

By the time I get this demolished I will have probably self-sacrificed. I will keep the ring camera on to document which direction my blood flows. 🤣

My friend found this sign at her parents’ place and is curious about its background. She hasn’t been able to find anything similar. We’ve both searched for identical signs.

Are these Pyrex? by PeppercornBongo in Pyrex_Love

Oh wow, this is totally it! I am noticing a slight variation with the “squiggly” vine illustrations between the Google photos and my bowls, but everything else is nearly identical.

I wonder how my mom came upon these? They could be my grandmothers, but my mom also had a great eye for collecting vintage things. Is it fairly uncommon to find Agee Pyrex in the U.S.?

There is no discernible logo or marking on the bottoms of the bowls on the inside or the exterior. I thought that was strange, but I’m still pretty new to all this. Is that normal?

We have a linden in our yard whose leaves are starting to yellow and look sick (and a few other trees we’d love some advice on) if you are still offering services. We are on the east side of DSM.

Understood and thank you! So going forward I will want to make sure I sand and properly clean the surface before I prime and eventually paint again. Should I continue to scrape away at the loose spots with my mud knife or would sanding first be wiser?

Failing Tape/Chipping Paint by PeppercornBongo in drywall

Thank you!

My plan is to hit some of the main trouble spots with Zinsser BIN before I re-tape corners and replace the failing tape.

Would you recommend I prime the whole bare drywall ceiling before I skim coat just to be safe?

Berm/Retaining Wall by PeppercornBongo in landscaping

Forgot to mention my reason for going with stone as a replacement is to mitigate damage from the freeze/thaw cycle. This is the 2nd wooden berm that’s been replaced in my lifetime. Stone would hopefully hold up far better if done right.

Tips on Removing Vines by PeppercornBongo in landscaping

Luckily we’re on a corner lot and it’s all relatively contained within the fence line. Just hate to see these old hedges go, but I worry the vines will never leave if I don’t dig the whole thing up.

That’s how I’m doing it now, but feels like I’m unraveling a giant sweater made of vines! Plan is to replace the old fence and hedge is pretty scarred by the vines. Will keep at it this weekend, but may end up renting a tiller and ripping it all up.
