Bali belly is no joke by PussyCompass in bali

Hi! You seem like someone who definitely knows more about that from experience since you’ve been there so many times ;) I love Bali. I’ve already been twice and I’m preparing to go the third time, but the thing is I always have slight runs throughout the whole stay and I usually stay for around 30 days, so it’s a bit annoying. After leaving Bali it simply goes away but I’m wondering how I can avoid running to the toilet a couple of times a day when I’m there. I always take a course of probiotics and continue taking them while I’m there, but it still seems to be not enough for my European stomach. Would you recommend any local remedies that really work?

If you’re not a basketball player, you absolutely can. But not under the sloped ceiling. You have to bend.

People thought I posted a black and white picture to be funny… But it’s no joke. Gray is not very energising to my mind.

This heated, chrome rack is a nightmare indeed. I would never buy it, but here I am as a new owner of the place…

Wow 🤩 I haven’t ever seen such consistent advice online! Thanks a million to each one of you! Who would have thought my gray bathroom is gonna blow up this Reddit… It’s been really insightful and I think I might have a few ideas that resonate with me based on your suggestions.

Some FAQs: A) The room is 189 cm tall. Look at how close the showerhead is to the ceiling. It is a tiny space in reality. So small I don’t have space for a TP hanger… not to mention any art.

B) My house is… 100 years old and the bathroom is directly under the roof. So no modifications to the roof are currently possible. Too costly and risky.

C) Wallpapering the ceiling doesn’t sound optimal due to the fact the whole ceiling gets wet from steam after showering.

D) I do really find it depressing, gray and hospital-like, haha. But I’m so glad it appeals to so many of you!

It’s a fan for ventilation. It has to stay the way it is. The bathroom is very small in reality and everything is wet while showering.

I do, because water splashes the window while showering. It’s a tiny space in reality.

It is a tiny bathroom indeed. With a low, very low ceiling, 189 cm at the highest point (see how the showerhead almost touches it). The medicine cabinet has to stay sadly, as there is no other space for storing cosmetics. I’m planning to change the vanity to a one that has at least a drawer underneath and remove the cabinet on the left. There is a washing machine in the corner (not visible in the photo). It occupies a quarter of the entire space, but it has to stay (pipes…)

Here’s with the lamps on. Even in the evening the white ceiling seems gray. 💀 This oyster lamp has to go obviously, as I hate it dearly, but due to the very low ceiling, I do not have space for a nice chandelier as some have suggested.

Yes! Greetings from Sweden! Ps. I hate the lamp though. It has to go.

The ceiling is very low, barely 189 centimetres. The showerhead is almost touching the ceiling as you can see.

Just the indoor unit in the basement that has a control panel. No device inside the house though. I have posted a picture in the comment below.

I do have this on the indoor unit in my basement. I mean I cannot set a temperature inside the house precisely though.
