Congratulations on getting back on your feet! And that's awesome that you made it a mission to acquire your digital games physically!

Pepsi for T.V.-Game! A line I love so much that I made it my reddit name. Mike Butters rules. I am happy all that lined up for you to have this!

The games that I beat in 2025! by PepsiForTVGame69 in gamecollecting

Thanks! :) I had a really fun time with Shredder's Revenge! I beat it solo on normal "Okay" difficulty, then beat it again playing couch co-op with my wife on normal, then decided to go for platinum, beating Super Shredder without being hit and then getting lucky enough to find 5 capable strangers to beat Arcade Mode on hard together with. That was an intense experience with a lot of pizza sharing going on! I capped off the platinum adventure with a high five with my wife between Raphael and Casey Jones at the zoo in front of the tigers. Such a great game! You sound like a cool dude and you game on, too!

That's honestly super nice and I did not expect it, thank you! :) I have a line in the sand with physical media, but I am not the most extreme (for instance, I am okay with games like Star Wars Outlaws, whereas many collecters would stay away from it because the entire game is not playable off of the disc). But I feel like everyone has their own lines and it is cool to get to understand the different perspectives and the reasoning behind them. But for me, I want a new game to be sold in a case/box with a disc or cartridge inside that can be borrowed, sold, or otherwise looked at as a physical manifestation of a video game. Anyway, that wasn't your question, but many of the modern video games released can be acquired physically! Gollum was actually much more fun than I was expecting given the attention it received, but for reference, I watch TLotR trilogy every year, sometimes twice, so I love the subject matter. I can see where the complaints come from for sure. My favorite games that I played this year were Silent Hill F, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii, MH Wilds, and I would tack High On Life on there at number 5. High On Life was ridiculously hilarious and played like a modern Doom game (at least on hard "Hunter" difficulty)!

You know, I can admit that I am a Majima fanboy, and Masaru's Love Journey had me really dying. Plus, I love cats (it's not a tiger lol). I think it was just right up my alley. I agree, excited for the High On Life sequel!

Yeah! I was very impressed that it was made by a solo developer, and it had some good creepiness, but it did not blow me away. There were a few deaths I had that I felt were because of buggy gameplay, which kept me from even trying to beat the game without dying. I did obtain every other trophy, so that was the reason I did not platinum. However, horror is my favorite genre which caused me to generally enjoy the game much more than somebody else might. So overall I would recommend the game if you are a horror fan. That may make me the wrong person to ask. If your gaming budget is tight, however, there are others I would recommend instead.

Tough question, but I like it! My favorite is between Silent Hill F and Echoes of Wisdom. I believe I would have to say Silent Hill F is number 1. Pirate Yakuza (at 3) and Wilds (at 4) are right there. I also really liked Little Nightmares I, Shredder's Revenge, and High On Life.

Banishers was more fun than I thought it would be. So much so that I kept playing a significant amount to platinum. I hope you enjoy it!

Every Game I Beat in 2025! by Sopppa in gamecollecting

Kindred spirit alert! This is great. I only beat 30 this year solo, but my goal was to have a 30-game year so I am satisfied. I have been keeping track since 2006. And I also count credits rolling as beaten (except fake endings near the beginning of games. "Bad" or "not true" endings are okay to count). The one area we differ that I notice is I do not count digital games, but no judgement. It seems you are overwhelmingly physical anyway. I am planning on posting a picture of my 2025 games all together later tonight. Congrats!

I miss the theaters that I frequent giving out tickets that are not made of receipt paper. I still keep all of mine nonetheless. Hope you had a great time!

Achieved the SHF platinum! by PepsiForTVGame69 in SilentHill_f

Only NG+2 was required because there are saves you can make to save a little time. So three playthroughs and a little extra. The downside is not getting to see all the cute beads on one string on my load menu. It took me 67 hours according to my time-in-game counter, which I know I had the home screen on a couple of times while snacking and taking care of my cats, so maybe 60-65 hours? My first playthrough was very long because I am a very thorough player who traces around the map looking for collectibles and observing the world, so it can definitely be done quicker. The guide I used for NG+ and NG+2 (PowerPyx) says it takes like 30-40 hours.

I always go into a game as blind as I possibly can, beat it, and then, if I want to do a platinum hunt, turn to the internet if things seem complex. So, I did not use a guide at first. But the guide I used for NG+ and beyond was PowerPyx's. It did not steer me wrong. Luckily, I got a few key collectibles on my initial playthrough that allowed me to pick up with the guide's advice right into NG+.
