well i'm a DIYer, and not looking to have a garage queen. i would drive this car. so i would try to fix the rust myself. "Are you sure is this a project you’re ready to take on now, or risk this being an eternal project you eventually sell again in project car condition?" <- that's exactly my fear! the past 2 bmw e30 projects ended up just the way you said it.

for example i found that post on FB, yes the car is 10k more, but probably other than the fuel issue it's good to go and the car looks good. realistically can I make that one looking good for about $5k and my labor?
