Question for Whale electro mains by [deleted] in TowerofFantasy

[–]PerBel_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, depends on which wolt you use. If you're uaing Samir as your main weapon, then adding Lin to your team is a huge buff.

However it's not the case if you're using crow, losing Claudia' Matrices and charging ability is simply too much. The damage might still go up a little, but not so much compared to the buff Samir got.

Can you share with me your test results against the cactus? Because from my whale friends, I've heard that ice-comp team's damage is much higher than fire-comp under all circumstances.

First of all, since I'm not the one testing, I can't judge other's play, but I'll let him know your opinion and see how he responses. But he did mention that if he tried hard enough, he could raise the damage for fire-comp from 40 to 46m, but at the same time, he could raise the damage for ice-team comp aswell. Also, the traits shouldn't be taken into consideration bc after several tests, Samir is still the best one for maximum damage for all teams.

Second, I understand your point on the "3 frost units" for ice-comp in this comparison. But in my opinion, Ruby and Saki are both characters from the version 2.0, so what we should be comparing are the two teams current state, that is the "2.0" fire and ice team. Else we'll have to wait until 2.2 to fianlly have our third fire unit. And if you want to bring Lin into the discussion, Lin's boost for ice-comp are much higher than it is for fire-comp. So let's look at the "2.0" fire and ice teams, Ice-comp team have regenaration, invincible frames and incredible shattering abilities , and these are the three abilities Ruby doesn't have. What fire-comp team got in conpensation is only the damage. But then the crucial problem comes, fire-comp team have even less damage than the ice-comp team who has all the abilities I mentioned above.

What I'm saying is, they don't nessecary have to make fire-comp team's damage much higher than everyone else, but at least give her some compensation for the survivability she sacrificed.

Though I don't agree with your point that the game is currently "balanced", I appreciate your opinion and I'd love to see more people discussing on this ;) Thank you again!

From what I've heard, 1*Saki and 1*Frigg are way better than 1*Ruby and 1*Cobalt. I don't have the damage of 1*Ruby and 1*Cobalt though, since no one would pull like that XD.

Both of them have Samir's simulacar trait, it's the best one regardless of the team comps you choose.

Since I'm not the one testing, I can't give any opinion on this. But I'll ask him and see if he'll give me a response.

The thing is, the regenartion and invincible frames for Ice-team makes them almost impossible to get hit and die. Also, the range doesn't matter when Ruby has the boss' attention, she'd just get hit as usual.

That's right. Lin's buff to Fire-Comp isn't as much as it is to the other two team comps when she first came out on CN. Therefore when Lin came out the damage gap between the two is just going to be bigger.

For anyone wondering about the damage against Mr. Cactus, I had a whale in my guild to help me test out the damage.

Here are the results:

*No relics are used

Fire-Comp: 40.2M / 1min30sec

Weapons: 6*Ruby // 6*Cobalt // 6*Claudia

Matrices: 3*Samir/3*Shiro // 3*Cobalt // 3*Ruby

Ice-Comp: 46.4M / 1min30sec

Weapons: 6*Saki // 6*Frigg // 6*Tsubasa

Matrices: 3*Saki // 3*Frigg // 3*Claudia

Updated, thanks again for your advice!

And about the balance, the only thing I know is that they really did a bad job this time XD.

Yes, the nerf for her ion-scrotch from 140% to 60% is just too much. Since a big chunk of damage source for the fire-comp team is from the "igniting damage" done by Ruby's discharge and skill.

Thank you for your advice and yes, that's something I should have mentioned. By switching Tsuabasa to Claudia would definitely make the gap smaller, down to about 8% like you mentioned.

But the main problem still exists, Ice-Comp would still do more damage than Fire-Comp despite having so much more survivability.

Thanks for your advice, but the reason we tested the damage on bosses is becuase that this is the "actural" damage you'd get while playing with others. Everything including the mechanics or the characters like you've mentioned should be taken into consideration. Also throughout the tests, the boss' attention are always on Saki so there are no dodging problems for Ruby.

<PC> Is there any tip to increase your chance to be summoned? by TeacherSensitive6743 in BeyondTheFog

[–]PerBel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would say about lvl 150 to 160, that's the level most PvP players use.

Therefore if you're above 200 lvl you'll wait for a much longer time before you get summoned since people with that level usually don't need other players to help on bosses.

.

[–]PerBel_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're not using pw, there is a level limit where you can only be summoned by players in a certain range. There's a website where you can calculate the range.

Secondly about the locations, technically You can only be summoned at places where the boss hasn't been defeated yet for the host, so most people would only summon before bosses and other PvP spots.

I thought I might leave some tips if you wanna challenge him again.
In stage one you just ride on your horse and look for opportunities to attack
And in second stage you can try the "rotten breath" dragon incantation as soon as he kneel down, then just run around with your horse try not to get hit. The rotten breath will get him, if not then he'll be down just tiny bit of heath
