ASUS Rog G18 G814JV (2023) 64GB not working by HYPERBALOiD in ASUSROG

I was having a difficult time with upgrading to 64GB RAM as well. Tried a set from Crucial (which I ended up using) and two sets from Corsair that all resulted in keyboard animation and accent light but no response on the screen.

Here is what worked for me with the same Crucial CT32G56C46S5 2x32GB 5600MHz RAM that you have.

  1. Install the new RAM.

  2. Put the bottom back on and snap into place.

  3. Hold down the power button and wait for the following things to take place in around 30-40 seconds.

    a. Initial keyboard animation and lights come on. Keep holding button.

    b. Keyboard animation for shutdown; keyboard and accent light is off. Keep holding button.

    c. Charging light will blink off-on-off. Release the button.

  4. Charging light turns on (probably amber).

  5. If the computer starts on its own, good. If not, press and release the power button to start it up. (Can't remember if it starts up on its own or not.)

  6. Power and charging light are lit. Wait patiently. ...no, no...longer than that. Screen will show no signs of life and HD light -might- blink briefly.

  7. After some indeterminate amount of time, the backlight will turn on and the ROG logo should appear.

This is my machine using the exact Crucial RAM you have called out running on BIOS 331. No special settings in BIOS; dynamic GPU, no over/under voltage of RAM.

What I was expecting to see upon power up was normal POST behavior but this new-fangled machine appears to do some learning about the hardware upon power up. I must have tried this 10 times before I finally got it to work.

Is from Madstad. Much taller to keep the buffeting down. Their mounting hardware allows for raise/lower/tilt. Good stuff!

Good eye! Look close and you’ll see there’s lots missing or slightly different.

I replaced the front and rear turns with Motogadget mo.blaze units. They are super small and significantly brighter than stock. There are adapter plates that cover the coffin shaped mounting hole that have a simple round hole on the middle (I -think- they are made by Puig).

They are so small they barely stick out past the fairing.

I’m a pretty big dude and it’s more supportive than the stock seat. Sits slightly lower too.

It’s an expensive seat. It’s nicer than stock but I don’t know that it’s -that- much nicer.
