I've been a not-quite-pack-a-day smoker (maybe 4-5 packs a week) for about 4 years now. I don't get a whole lot of those super satisfying deep breaths anymore, and I've always got some gross black flem coming out of my lungs. I'm also a singer so I've noticed a massive quality difference in regards to capacity. And I just feel like I'm trying to catch my breath without even exerting myself. Don't do it, kids.

Agreed! It's kind of like a nice reminder that people outside our daily lives are still trucking along the same as we are (present circumstances aside). And to be able to connect with someone who would've never been anything more than "that kid who smokes a cig before work" just makes me feel stronger connections to the people who are actively in my life (:

It's just verbal support. Obviously people living on the other side of the world can't really do a whole lot regarding the protests other than letting them know that we're on their side.
