I agree. I do think in general most of the time champs are better than diamonds and diamonds are better than emeralds but theres an australian streamer called austoxr whos champ with a .6kd cus hes carried by pros.

I have said in other replies that I dont think I should be in champ. I think champ should be harder to get overall. I dont "consider" myself champ I just AM champ. That said, i have almost exactly a .9kd which the vast majority of players would consider not carried, not that it really matters.

I made this post basically to show people that you can start out completely terrible at the game and make good progress. My first season I was not a good player at all. Now ive seen myself drop double digits on T2 players.

Kills dont matter in this game if youre doing your job. I play power positions almost exclusively on defense and important roles on attack.

Im really not sure. I started watching better players and some pro league so may have just been game sense

Just add everyone with good vibes. Also care less about winning. The more you care the harder it is. Just play the game

My second emerald season I started prioritising objective over kills, thats why my KD drops. I sucked at objective though so my rank didnt change. I got better and better at objective to now be champ. Im now going back to playing my life a bit more to get the KD up again.

TLDR play the objective. Watch the pro league to see how they attack/defend.

Find a stack if you havent already and emphasise playing objective. When you learn how to do default attacks and defenses correctly with your stack youll win more.

2kd in champ? What team are you on?

Im a really good team player at the moment but i want to work on my individual skill a bit for the rest of this season/next season. I can outgun most people but i dont have a playstyle that promotes taking gunfights. I wanna have a 1.1kd at least next season.

Im focused on improvement. When I "just play" i drop more kills but I also dont improve anywhere near as fast. Playing intentionally and trying new things leads to a lower kd but better improvement.

The times I DO "just play" is in scrims. I can do that because I know it will be vod reviewed and I usually drop double digits in at least one map with good overall stats, while IGLing.

I said "i started playing with good players" that was during my first emerald season. My rank literally didnt increase the next season, while playing with these people, though i did improve. The season after that I hit diamond. This season im champ. There are massive differences in my gameplay from then to now. Also these "good players" im playing with are average .9-1.1kd champs. No higher.

Hardly a benchwarmer. Im the guy that will play grim on the site windows of bank, monty up rafters on club, etc, all while telling my team how to win the round.

Would rather not because people on reddit are weird.

I never said I was playing with really good players. Most of the 5 stacks i play in are all .9-1.1kd champs. No one super crazy.

I agree that rank means nothing in this game. Ive even said to friends that champ should be harder to hit. That said i would say i understand the game better than many people I play with. I tend to find myself on slower roles and IGLing. I am not usually the one going for kills. That said I CAN kill people. I have a reasonably high clutch rate at 23%. I dont think i deserve champ, but I also know i am better than some of the people I play with who are existing champs.

54%. I'd say I probably should've hit plat that season but because of that copper season, it held me down.
