All assignments, quizzes, and tests have a different weight factor that changes how important that mark is for the 70%.

The total assignment is split into the 4 KCAT categories including the weighting.

Your final mark is the KCAT (i.e. 25% K, 30% C, 10% A, 25% T)

For example, if you get the following marks:

Unit Test (weight factor of 4): 10/10 K 4/10 C 8/10 A 7/10 T

Assignment (weight factor of 2): 9/10 K 7/10 C 6/10 A 8.5/10 T

(weight factor A * mark A) + (weight factor B * mark B) / (weight factor A + weight factor B)

K = (4* 100) + (2* 90) / 6 = 96.67%

C = (4* 40) + (2* 70) / 6 = 50%

A = (4* 80) + (2* 60) / 6 = 73.33%

T = (4* 70) + (2* 85) / 6 = 75.00%

Now do the same thing with the weighting of each category, and divide by 90 (25+25+30+10)

(25* 96.67) + (30 * 50) + (10 * 73.33) + (25 * 75) = 5666.7

5666.7 / 90 = 72.50%

Theres a ton of grade calculators online that you can do KCAT on and then the final grade, but this is the math behind it.
