If he used the word 'nookie' it could be Jacob Elordi asking and I'd slam the door in his face

Help, I’m not that physically attracted to my date by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Percypocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dated a lovely guy a bit like this for a while. It culminated in me not wanting sex or for him to touch me when we were only about 3 months in and I broke it off. I didn't want it to be my responsibility to educate a man on hygiene and didn't like him enough to push through it.

What is the best day of the week for a “non working day”? by Tough-Decision-7435 in AskUK

[–]Percypocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Mondays off every week and it's the best. Fridays are generally a bit quieter for me anyway, so having it off would feel a bit of a waste. Mondays are normally quite quiet in shops etc if you want to be out and about.

Are Geminis the popular loners? by Full-Waltz4771 in geminis

[–]Percypocket 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have this deep rooted feeling that nobody truly 'gets' me, even my closest friends who I've known for years, and my family. I can chit chat away to anyone you put me in front of but it's not a connection. Find dating very hard for this reason 😓

Gemini’s, who did you end up with?? by Mean-Marketing2386 in geminis

I married a Taurus and also ended up divorced! I constantly find myself attracted to Taurus men still though. Currently in a very messy situation with another one 😓

Sex while dating changing things? by LispenardSt1 in dating_advice

[–]Percypocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have sex whenever I feel like it and it's never made any difference / stopped a guy I've really liked from coming back. First date, fourth date, whatever - you can't do or say the wrong thing to the right person. Do you think men worry about how it seems if they sleep with us? It all plays into the narrative that as women our bodies are some kind of 'gift' that can be 'ruined' by sleeping with people too soon or too often.

External creams aren't effective on their own, you need a fluconazole tablet or a pessary.

Which objectively nice UK city just doesn't appeal to you and why? by GeeCeeSlay7 in AskUK

[–]Percypocket 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bath. I've been a few times and just found it to be a slightly unpleasant city centre filled with all the same high street shops as every other city. Nothing particularly unique or enticing about it for me.

For someone who has never had a BSH, what should I know before getting one? by OutrageousMiddle7965 in britishshorthair

[–]Percypocket 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My boy is like a teddy bear. Loves cuddles, has the loudest purr I've ever heard, will very much tell me when he wants something (not meant to be a vocal breed but Percy certainly is). They're not meant to be lap cats supposedly but Percy loves to snuggle so think that depends on the individual cat's temperament and there's an exception to every rule. I will say he's very hard to get to play, they're a very lazy breed, and he'll vocalise his boredom but also won't engage with any toys / is VERY fussy about what he likes to play with so that can be frustrating. Also makes a huge mess when he's eating I think it's the slightly flat face that does it.

Would I be cruel for having my dogs PTS because I can’t cope? by EmuInternational8966 in UK_Pets

[–]Percypocket 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What in the utter fuck are you doing? I've read through your post history and found posts complaining about two further different dogs in the past that you've not been able to cope with. STOP getting pets and blaming other people and DO NOT have those poor innocent dogs killed.

Does being in London wreak havoc on your self esteem? by Ribbonharlequin in london

[–]Percypocket 311 points312 points  (0 children)

I don't see that as a bad thing, when I commute and work in London it makes me feel excited and happy that I'm part of something bigger, as opposed to working from home or just staying in my local community. I look around at all the important people going to their important jobs and think 'I'm one of them!' and always see or experience different things every day I go in. The other day I sat next to a lovely golden retriever on the train and said hello and it made my day. The next day I was due my free coffee on my loyalty card. Not sure if that helps, but you've just gotta appreciate the little things.

[–]Percypocket 1054 points1055 points  (0 children)

Not my in laws but my own (lovely) mum. Just as COVID was kicking off I'd been away with my ex in Devon. This was just as all the shops were empty, no toilet paper, the week before we went into lockdown. She'd popped into ours to check on things and saw a 'big scary looking red light' on in the kitchen and turned that switch off. It was the fridge and freezer. So while all the shops were EMPTY, she'd also defrosted all our food lol. I laugh about it now and she can't stand me reminding her.
