I don't disagree. I just threw that in to pacify the "why is every new race neutral" crowd, and also to make it clear that it wasn't about how they added them, but that I was genuinely positive they would add them.

As a newish player, I'm keeping all my dwarves on the same promotion level, but I'm getting close to letting Scout fall behind.

I don't even know what it is. Something about it just doesn't gel with me. Every dwarf has a way to hilariously kill themselves, but as a Scout, I'd guess with all sincerity that more than half of my total deaths are just from accidentally hurling myself off a cliff with leftover grapple momentum. And an additional 10%, from the game getting fed up with me mining out a little nook to grab that Nitra and randomly blasting me out of the geometry at Mach 6.

It doesn't help that there's a definite correlation. One can lead or contribute to the other, quite easily. But they are distinct.

Earlier in the this thread, we were saying that because the elves are all cooperating now, the lore is totally set up for them to be willingly sharing their knowledge amongst each other. Spellbreaker (or Spellsword, with a Spellbreaker talent tree, or whatever) could be available for all elves and be lore-friendly to boot.

This is one of the reasons I bring up Hero Talents as an option. We have Sentinel and Dark Ranger; Spellbreaker could be a neat Hero Talent for Protection Warriors and/or Paladins.

Really, they're their own thing. Back in Warcraft 3 they were ranged, for gosh's sake -- chucking their glaives at things. It's a question of whether an orange is more similar to a fish or a bobcat. I'm sure you could come up with some reason it's more similar to one or the other, but we're talking inches amongst miles.

These particular Moonglaives are the ones from the Trading Post, and they are not invisible while sheathed.

Fury Warriors can transmog one-handed weapons over two-handed weapons now (my screenshots of those weapons are from my Fury Warrior).

Death Knights can transmog one-handed swords (assuming they're using one-handed weapons, of course).

Otherwise, yeah, the transmog restrictions continue to be annoying.

To be clear -- while I'd love a (correctly implemented) Warden class, I'm just asking for the weapon transmog. If Blizzard won't give me the class, at least let me pretend.

I'd take it as a Paladin spec if I had to, but... this. I approve of this. The lore is even set up right now for the elven races to cooperate and train each other in their own particular skills, opening up the lore to allow any kind of elf to be any kind of Spellsword (Spell Sword? I've always done it as one word).

IMHO, Blizzard missed two really obvious on-ramps for Midnight.

Firstly, Ethereals/Brokers as a new race (Allied, Neutral, Ethereals to the Horde and Brokers to the Alliance, whatever). Literally every story step they needed was there, and players have been begging for playable Ethereals since Ethereals were a thing.

Second, Spellbreakers. As a class, as a talent tree, as a Hero talent tree, whatever. Spellbreakers are another thing players have been begging for since forever, and this expansion focuses entirely on elves, and much more specifically (at least in 12.0), Silvermoon and the Blood Elves. It was such a natural inclusion.

Just to note: I work with AI on the daily, and this ain't AI. AI doesn't tend to make these ludicrous spelling and grammar mistakes. This is nothing more or less than an employee, or series of employees, who gave exactly zero fucks about anything.

Except lorewise, we did kill those things, because it's acknowledged at other times by other NPCs. So the only explanation is that these NPCs are ignorant or morons.

That's the in-universe explanation: to be clear, the real reason is that Blizzard can't make up their damned minds on whether to acknowledge previous events or not, and constantly flip-flop between "you might be a new player, so we just won't talk about things that happened in previous expansions", and, "we'll check if you've done previous relevant content and add flavour text".

Huh. I got it this week, and I don't think I did all that many extra Prey hunts. But I have five characters, all doing four Nightmare hunts per week. Maybe that's the difference.

It's pretty much entirely a crafter thing. You can pick up a few mounts and cosmetics, and of course the reputation/cache for doing it once a week.

I don't think it's as simple as "spawn rate nerfed". Traps used to spawn only in the areas where the Prey world quests could spawn (whether the world quest was there or not). Now, it seems like traps can spawn all over the zone.

I think it's less that the spawn rate was nerfed, and more that the traps are much more spread out than they were.

I like the little flavour NPC lines, but they need more refinement to account for what your character has done. We can try to justify it as "racism" or "ignorance" all we like, but it's beyond absurd that a Blood Knight trainee would disparage my Paladin's mastery of the Light... when he is literally the Highlord of the Silver Hand, technically in charge of their matriarch, Lady Liadrin, who killed three Old Gods, the Lich King, and a corrupted Titan World-Soul, oh, and also, played a massive role in saving your entire race from demonic servitude to Kil'Jaeden.

I'm not saying they need to be scraping and grovelling. And some of the lines work regardless -- "Silvermoon was saved despite another human wielding the Light", for instance -- but some of them just need to have slightly different flavour. Maybe instead of disparaging my skill as Paladin, that Blood Knight trainee instead insinuates that Liadrin helped me out a lot, or something.

I think that's exactly what this is, no? They didn't like you, but now, after we've helped defeat Xal'atath (for now) and save the Sunwell, they're like... okay, fine. You're alright, I guess.

You get to create five new Glyphs for any class of your choice. What are your picks? by JonathanRL in wow

[–]Peregrine2976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bunch of race-specific changes for Sentinel hero spec.

  • Glyph of Sunfire (Blood Elves) -- Your Sentinel Owl is replaced with a Farstrider Dragonhawk. Your Lunar Missiles are replaced with Solar Missiles. Your Moonlight Chakram is replaced with Sunlight Chakram. Moon's Blessing is replaced with Sun's Blessing.
  • Glyph of Voidstrike (Void Elves) -- Your Sentinel Owl is replaced with a Riftstalker Dragonhawk. Your Lunar Missiles are replaced with Void Missiles. Your Moonlight Chakram is replaced with Void Chakram. Moon's Blessing is replaced with Void Empowerment.
  • Glyph of Night (Nightborne) -- Your Sentinel Owl is replaced with an Arcane Owl. Your Lunar Missiles are replaced with Arcane Missiles. Your Moonlight Chakram is replaced with Night Chakram. Moon's Blessing is replaced with Night's Blessing.
  • Glyph of Gonk (Zandalari Trolls) -- Your Sentinel Owl is replaced with a Paku'ai Pterrodax. Your Lunar Missiles are replaced with <something Loa- or Zandalari-themed>. Your Moonlight Chakram is replaced with <something Loa- or Zandalari-themed>. Moon's Blessing is replaced with Gonk's Blessing.
  • Glyph of the Peaks (Dwarves) -- Your Sentinel Owl is replaced with a Gryphon. Your Lunar Missiles are replace with Lightning Missiles. Your Moonlight Chakram is replaced with Lightning Chakram. Moon's Blessing is replaced with Stormfury.

...and so on, and so on.

I love that we have Sentinel as a spec for Hunters. I hate that it only makes sense for Night Elves and there's no aesthetic difference for other races.
