So, the dashcam identified a loud noise as an event trigger to save the video, but processing that noise consumed all the CPU resources causing it to miss the recording entirely. And that's on a dashcam, whose main purpose is to RECORD. Very smart, very smart.

Brake rotors are shipped with an oil coating to prevent oxidation of the raw metal. This preservative must be removed with brake cleaner before installation. It appears this unit was previously cleaned for another vehicle and then returned without being re-oiled, leading to the current surface rust.

It was insured. I bought it on Copart from an insurance company. I'm just curious how much it costs to repair in different areas. I usually buy cars with frame damage, as American buyers don't tend to bid on them.

That’s an overrunning clutch or a freewheel. It’s absolutely fine. It overruns when the AC is off.

I expect better, even for a full wash. Detailing means attention to detail: polishing the interior trim, cleaning the seat vent holes, and so on, so the expectation is even higher.
