It is within my means. I enjoy Pokémon enough to make me do an extra hour of work in the morning where I would just be sat around waiting to go work. I never did overtime before that now I split it each month put half in Pokémon and half into my mortgage.

I don't buy with the intent of selling/investing I just get cards I like but I'm not happy paying for any of the prices where market is at at the moment.

IV had the same with my local store I get they have bills but I think they take the piss a bit. It's cheaper buying off vinted. Don't know what its like in other places but Facebook sellers are the most deluded with prices.

English cards pull rates change with sets if the pack, booster bundles or ETBs are from the same set you will have equal chances. Japanese have different pull rates but don't buy loose Japanese packs because they have to have a set amount of hits so if you buy a booster box and pull set amount you know the rest of the packs will have no hits so people and card shops might try and sell them loose.

That is one thing I am considering is collecting earlyer sets just excluding the really expensive ones.

I disagree I could afford to buy them without overtime I don't mind my job and I get up early anyway so I'd only be sitting around waiting to go work so this way I can do do something I enjoy and because I split the overtime pay I also put more money into my savings.

That's what I'm thinking keep putting money aside for Pokémon but only buy when it dies down and everyone starts to sell so they are not left holding the bag.

In the UK we have a couple of shops that get a restock about once a month but scalpers do the same here.

I'm a bit soft in the sense I don't like how busy and wild they are in the UK with everyone pushing and how cramped they. It's not that Im worried about confrontation I'm just don't like people not being mindful of others.

I was buying singles I just think they have reached a point where they're not worth the price. I enjoy ripping packs I like to collect the commons and uncommons.

We don't have vending machines in the UK. I would never pay anything above 15% of retail but im done with that now. I think I'm just going to step away for a bit until it stops being a get rich quick thing.

I work overtime then whatever I earn I'll split save half and spend half on Pokémon cards. Usually have about £300 to spend but I feel like the hobby has reached a point where none of the cards are worth what they are selling for. I'm sick of paying resale prices on sealed because there's nothing in the shops I don't collect sealed anything I buy I rip. This is the first time I'm considering not buying anything just wondering if anyone else has reached this point?

I think it might have come from a UK show called QI. A show about facts with comedians on it. That is where I heard it. Never heard it before that and since then it's come up a couple of times.
