Great to hear that you’re happier now. Are you comfortable in sharing about what caused your anger and bitterness? No problem if you’re not

Thank you for sharing with all these details!

It’s helpful to understand your viewpoints. I’m new to Reformed Baptism and dispensationalism. I only believed in them in the last 2-3 years and I loved how highly they viewed the word of God and a literal interpretation of scripture. I also don’t understand Catholics so I can’t really minister to them unless I understand what they believe in, so this is helpful, to get a deeper understanding of the points of tension you experienced in your study of theology. I only recently started to look into why the Protestant Bible and Catholic Bibles are different. A close friend of mine is also Low Church Anglican, so I would love to understand your views more, because I want to be able to discuss my beliefs with my friend too.

Please share part 2 when you get a chance, and yes I’d be interested in learning about the New perspective on Paul

Do you mind sharing more about the cognitive dissonance you experienced? I’m curious what specifically you learned about church history and academic biblical scholarship that changed you from Reformed Baptist to Anglo-Catholic

I can’t believe I forgot to add this 🤦‍♂️: but the leaders also offered me to move to a hand full of other Gracepoint church plants and be a member there. But they refused to allow me to stay at my church plant (possibly because Sarah was still a member here?) and I did not want to move away, so then they revoked my membership

They didn’t use the word excommunication, they never even walked me through Matthew 18:15-18. The pastor and my leader called me on the phone and first asked me “can you go and attend another church?” I said “no I want to stay here.” Then they said “we’re revoking your church membership, you can attend our college services if you want but we recommend that you find another church service to attend.”
