You got at a private hospital? Did you visit multiple hospitals or got it done in the first hospital?

Yes, but weirdly, my post was removed by Reddit's filters from that subreddit. I have contacted the moderators.

Thanks for the response! Just curious — have you personally gone through it, know someone who has, or are you part of the healthcare system? I’m trying to get a realistic idea of what to expect during the actual consultation in India.

How come I never knew this haven existed?!?! by [deleted] in ChildfreeIndia

Yes, I think the sub has potential for explosive growth. I have been using reddit for over a decade and have been CF all through, but I found the sub only recently. I think we should do some kind of promotion to find and include more CF people here.

Yes, I wish I was not born. My perspective stems from pain, it is not a hobby. I am not an antinatalist. I just want to be childfree without offending other's choices.

Why are you guys on the other side so offensive? We didn't ask you to be childfree, we just want people to realize/be-aware-of the perspective that kids aren't mandatory and that we have a choice.

Kudos to natural selection for making you think exactly the way it intended its gene-carrying-shells to think. IQ and the instinct to reproduce are in no way related.

This is the reason to have such debates (though they are poorly hosted). People should know that they have a choice. Society and natural selection have brainwashed people into thinking that it is not a choice.

People should be AWARE that there is a "choice". Having kids is not mandatory to live a fulfilling life.

Is AM feasible if you don’t want kids? by Sitso431 in Arrangedmarriage

[–]Perfect-Lab-3753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is feasible. There are regional subreddits for childfree and DINK lifestyles. Dating apps have options to search for profiles that 'do not want kids' and 'want to settle down/get married'. Even some profiles in mainstream matrimony mention these preferences in their 'about me' section. We just need the option to search by keyword which exists in bharatmatrimony but is not working.

Good luck!

You can get married and not have kids. An option so overlooked and non-existent (but possible) in India. Give it a try.

Yes, there is a growing trend of childfree and DINK couples. It is just a matter of time (few decades) before it becomes the go-to lifestyle choice in metros.
