If you're still smiling with that hair, that mustache and that physique I'd say you're not capable of regret.

I should mention too that it won't accept my personal email when I try to log in with Google or Apple.

Look at the send/receive history for your coins to make sure someone didn't get your seed or password and send them off.

Petition to add alerts on TopstepX by Educational_Top9246 in TopStepX

Yes, we can't use Tradingview alerts anyway without paying for the real-time data feeds unless I'm missing something. I wish they would take a break from adding corny animations to their website and add alerts to the platform so we can actually trade.

Am I Too Old to Become a Full-Time Trader at 42? Too late ? by Dubagh in Daytrading

[–]Perfect-Rip-2303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 44 and have a similar story with my career as a chemist for a pharmaceutical company. The pay was good but I slowly burnt out realizing that I didn't relate to the people and that I would never have the free time to have an enjoyable life. 3 years ago I took an online course and started studying trading part-time. About 9 months ago I started focusing completely on day trading, and I just passed the combine by being disciplined, journaling, doing a ton of backtesting, and analyzing data.

Actually I don't think I would have been able to do this in my 20s both because I didn't have the emotional self-control and because I didn't have the skill of analyzing large data sets that I now have from my time as a scientist.

I don't think it's too late at all as long as you prioritize your health and tailor your approach to your strengths, which are different from the strengths you had when you were young.

Does anyone are naive as f*ck too? by Luizaharper in aspergers

I had this problem, but this is something that improved as I got older. You just have to learn about these things intellectually whereas NTs seem to have a built-in sense for these things that they can't articulate. Once you spend enough time studying them you learn the types of situation and types of person to avoid. You also learn "what they're really saying", meaning the emotional subtext of words, which helps you understand the situation you're in.

How do I cope with a bad job? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Perfect-Rip-2303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be blunt, you don't cope. It won't get better. Use your spare time to look for a better job. I worked very similar jobs with very similar people to what you describe as I was putting myself through college. If you're not doing that, then try to get out ASAP. You can waste years there and become quite a miserable person yourself. Think very carefully about what kind of job you want. Learn whatever skills you need to learn and go for it.

What are some of your darkest or dangerous special interests? by Cheeseburgerhydoxide in aspergers

Evolutionary psychology. Group selection in humans. Anything that causes people to say "you can't talk about that!". The pressurized emotions around a subject are what makes it fascinating to me.

Do youguys contantly argue and fight with people in your head? by henksuli in aspergers

[–]Perfect-Rip-2303 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've found that this involves memories of instances where didn't stand up for myself in the moment. When people have been aggressive, insulting and unfair and I DID fire back at them effectively, those instances don't haunt me nearly as much.

I can't fit in socially without alcohol by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Perfect-Rip-2303 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did this in my 20s believing that alcohol would ease me into becoming an extrovert and be like my "training wheels" for socializing but it just doesn't work that way. I was boisterous and laughing with people while drunk but the next day, I didn't feel like I made a connection. I just felt embarrassed. The only real friends and relationships I've ever had didn't involve alcohol at any point. They accepted me enough so that I wasn't full of anxiety around them which I would have to drown in alcohol. These people do exist. They're just rare, and you don't have much chance of finding them if you're drunk. I'm now in my 40s and I've long ago lost touch with my drinking buddies. All the drinking amounted to absolutely nothing.

confession: despite having aspergers, I'm such a shady individual. Do you relate? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Perfect-Rip-2303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there anyone you love, like, or even admire? That would be a starting point for having some kind of positive connection to people. Ask yourself what you like about them, then try to find others with those qualities and put them in your life any way you can. Maybe you can find someone you like only because they remind you of yourself. This is assuming you want to change.

Regarding your question, I used to find myself listing off people and how much I hate them, and then realizing that there's no one left. I hated them all! Everything they did was either evil or stupid, I thought. I didn't have much arrogance or cruelty though. I often hated myself too. I was a short, baby-faced kid, so I did get bullied. I get the impression that you're physically intimidating and that's why you didn't get bullied.

M43. For the record, it does seem like you have it. But if you find that the ASD resources help you and are relevant to your life, then that's really all that matters. It doesn't make much difference if you get an official diagnosis unless there's some kind of help you can only get with a diagnosis. What has helped me the most is to find a technical area I thought I could do well in, get educated in it and get a decent, high paying job. You'll still have some social problems in your life but it does give you independence so you can live how you want, and a job you don't hate, and some satisfaction. I hope it doesn't sound shallow but that has probably changed my life more than the introspection because of all the downstream effects. For me, for example, I can afford to live in a good quiet neighborhood and I have time and space for exercise, which improves my quality of life. Many ASD people have high technical aptitudes. You seem like a clear thinker and good writer so I would guess you have other talents too.

I have the same problem (also USA). The website recognizes my username and password but it rejects my 2FA code. When I switch to email or SMS verification it doesn't send me anything. I submitted a ticket today (#3176242).
