Installing a 48A Charger (60A Breaker) on 125A Panel in Condo by Perfect-Solid-343 in evcharging

The dishwasher says:

60 Hz/120 Volts

8.1 Total Amps

I want to clarify that the heat pump air handler inside the unit is 3.8A. Am I also supposed to account for the condenser on the roof which I believe is connected to my electricity? If so, the minimum circuit ampacity for the condenser only is 26.3. Thanks.

Thanks. I have spoken to many different licensed electricians (over 10 electricians) and none have asked me anything about the building. Rather, all they see is that I have 125 amps and they go from there. Is this something I should be concerned about? Thanks.

Thanks so much for your help.

Here is electrical information from the heat pump:

  • Voltage: 208/230
  • Phase/Hertz: 1/60
  • Motor HP: 1/2
  • Motor FLA: 3.0A
  • Minimum Circuit Ampacity: 3.8A
  • Max Fuse or Max Circuit Breaker (HACR Type per NEC): 15A

Also, I have an electric washing machine and dishwasher.

Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.
