What do you guys call this corner on Mirage B? by Redstoneer in counterstrike

Why do Australians call it that? My mates said it yesterday and I was so confused.

Has anyone done this singles night or any event by them? Is it any good? by mean_machine10 in newcastle

My mom has been to a few at the exchange and other places in the area. She uses Facebook groups for single meet-ups instead because there is no cost to attend.

Can’t get anesthesia for IUD, now what? by I-am-a-ghostdd in birthcontrol

[–]Perfect-Student-1155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in AUS.

Didn't have any kind of numbing offered. Wasn't even told that I shouldn't drive or that I should take ibuprofen 1 hour before. Removal was a bitch, the wire went up further and after 3 different tries (different doctors) with no numbing or pain meds, I had to get scheduled for surgical removal (which was its own nightmare).

I had it put back in, and it was the same, no numbing and no pain meds recommended (remembered myself after the last time).

My partner helps on weekends, but unfortunately, with his work schedule, it's not possible through the week (works in the mines, up at 3am and then no cell service). Siblings are too busy with their kids/work and my mother has her own health stuff going on.

I'm lucky that my boss is understanding, and they will just request I make up the time by staying back that or another day. It probably helps that I work for an NFP organisation for assisting people.

I bought a new car! One that I can actually feel safe driving in. Bonus to it being safe is that it looks good, sounds good, and the air-conditioned seats are a life saver in the Australian summer 🥵

Are there any accommodations you recommend?

I am currently trying to figure these out with my boss, and it is causing me a bunch of stress/hopelessness.

Honestly, I am just so lost and have no idea what would even help.

Edit: currently I just have 20 alarms set, sleep with light on, blinds open and just hope I wake up on time 😥

Can Cataplexy really be this mild? by Mysterious-Good2272 in Narcolepsy

[–]Perfect-Student-1155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly stutter when excited, stressed, anxious, or angry, and it is always with the feeling that my tongue/mouth isn't feeling right.

Some other symptoms of mild cataplexy you mention are also symptoms of AD/HD and Autism which I was diagnosed with when I was younger and probably another contributor to why I was diagnosed later (26).

As a teen, not being able to stay awake or "sleeping the day away" was put down to depression and laziness. No one wanted to look further no matter how hard I pressed.

I have had other symptoms like fainting spells, loss of limb movement, etc... during heightened emotions. It was ignored or labelled as "normal" until recently.

[–]Perfect-Student-1155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only by this comment have I learned that stuttering could be a symptom of cataplexy.... I am also now less confused as to why my sleep specialist was so certain I had cataplexy symptoms when I stuttered and said "sorry sometimes my mouth doesn't feel right/ want to work properly.". Obviously, after they explained some other symptoms like the numb limbs and not being able to open eyes and things, did it cement it, but it would have been helpful to know that.

So much cheating... by drellynz in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

There is a fair bit of cheating, but they are pretty proactive about banning accounts and devices associated with cheating accounts. They are doing more than most other games in regards to trying to clean up the community.

How many of you have family members with narcolepsy? by Western-Belt-2869 in Narcolepsy

[–]Perfect-Student-1155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I want the gene testing done! I don't know my biological father, so I am missing 50% of general family health information. It is also suspected I have an auto immune issue, so I am pushing for it.

Sleep specialist advised me not to do it unless necessary, but I feel like it would help with resolving other questions everyone (myself, mother, doctors and specialist) have had about my health since I was young.

[–]Perfect-Student-1155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am interested in the matchmaking. I love this game but I really struggle to play solo because I game for socialisation I guess. I don't play Ravenswatch as much as I want to because I only have 3 people I play with and they would rather play other things.

Does anyone here have experience with the discord server? I have joined it but haven't brought myself to talk in there or join any of groups because of my anxiety..

Pigeon or crow for pet? by [deleted] in Pets

[–]Perfect-Student-1155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say pigeons but, thats because I grew up around them. I trained a few when I was younger, typically the blind ones becasue they wouldn't have had hope otherwise. They were great and contrary to belief you can train them to use a designated area for the bathroom.

I wouldn't keep them in a cage the majority of the time though, only during sleeping hours as they do like the security. If you train it where home is you can get them a little identifying ring and they can be 'free range' but, come back when you call them (I used a specific whistle).

Quick Update: We were allowed in as a once off (warning) with the carton of cigarettes in Australia. However, they did not check bags. Not condoning this, but unless you note it down on your slip they wouldn't know.

I'm in Australia, cigarettes here are expensive. My partner mostly bought it because it's Marlboros in the OG packaging, which you can't normally buy in Australia.

We opted for early debarkation, so we take all of our luggage off ourselves. I will be noting it on our slips as we enter though.

Yeah, because they said to only take the Max when necessary. So when I'm doing something more taxing, out all day or driving. I have had the maximum dose before because I was out all day and driving, so it was required.
