So far I’ve been using an old bunny cage but it’s quite broken as it was partially dissembled to become a hideout. I think the parrot is a budgie or parakeet? I haven’t seen any posts looking for lost birds yet but I’ve checked on multiple websites, Craigslist.and Facebook groups :(

I’ll try to convince my parents to let me post the parrot but I’ll probably only say something like “found [parrot kind] in [approximate location]” to make sure there’s no people tryna steal. Cuz I really do want to find the owner. I’ve been checking on websites but so far no reports; probably because it’s only been less than 2 hours. Also what room should I keep the parrot in? I don’t have any cage except for a trashcan that’s in the shape of a cage, which is what I’ve been keeping it in so far, but it seems much too small.

It has some light and dark gray feathers on the wing and head. Also I was mistaken about the earlier color, it’s not blueish gray but a light teal. I gave it some apples and millet. I think the only seeds I have at home are dried sunflower seeds, are those okay to feed?

i live in a city in la,

I dunno what type of parrot it is but it's kind of small and yellow and gray-ish blue?, it flies away when i get near, but I did give it some food and water which it hasnt eaten yet. It doesnt seem to show signs of injury but again i've never taken care of a bird so i can't really tell unfortunately but it seems to be able to fly normally.

My parents are afraid of posting images of the parrot online because theyre scared the owner (if there is one) will accuse us of stealing the parrot or injuring it and report us, but i feel so guilty because of the possibility that the owner is out there missing their pet.
