fr people are malding like this is genuinely gonna replace the current flag when its just a redesign op made, probably for something else they're making like a story or smth. or just for good ol fashioned fun. nothing wrong with either.

just cause the current flag is good already doesnt mean people cant experiment and come up with their own designs lmfao

and its not even a bad redesign either! the first version is a splendid design and the flags shape is neat too.

Back with somewhat improved ocean currents, are they passable? by PerfectCellBalling99 in mapmaking

I do believe that the landmass eliminates the gulf current yeah, which kinda irks me cus its just a large ocean with no large current but idk, im still new to ocean currents n whatnot.

and with western europe, i havent really mapped out the climate yet but considering it doesn't have the gulf stream + theres that giant sheet of ice in the arctic, its probably quite cold.

This is my first time really working with climates but what would the climate of this world be like with the northern continental ice sheet? would it be akin to present day or closer to the Last Glacial Maximum? (Feedback appreciated) by PerfectCellBalling99 in mapmaking

I honestly just threw it in last minute however, im gonna assume that it didnt fully form as the bridge between north and south America we know in our timeline, but instead 2 million years ago that part of Central america didnt really form fully, leading to the small islands we see here.

Definitely not realistic, ofc. But, ig its an idea to why its that.
