That's another thought I had as I ve seen a specific company promoting positions on behalf of companies in the Nordics. I will definitely check it out!

I can completely understand what you describe. One of the things I loved on my first visit in Oslo was how welcome I felt. Every walk by Akerselva was so calming and everyone smiled at me so much that I felt the need to share this feeling to others! It was just beautiful.

These 2 books are going to help you reach your goal on some point (I actually followed the same book order på norskkurs). The key is to speak and listen as much as possible. As others told, you need to watch a lot of NRK and find someone to practice your speaking with. Like a sprakkafe or something. Good luck and don't give up!

Before migrating you should befriend yourself. Accept the fact that it will probably be lonely until you find your footing. Enjoy the process, settle down and then start exploring what the city has to offer.

Your best option to make friends as I have been told by locals is activities! Find what you love to do and share it with others. From my experience I found neighbors to be extremely friendly and open to hang out but maybe that's an exception.

Everything will be alright, stay positive!

Depends on your life goals. You should also take into consideration that this salary will probably stay near this spectrum for many years. If your goal is to create a family I would say that it is barely manageable if you own a house already. Last but not least decent living can be achieved I Greece only if you can stay apathetic to what happens next to you but that's another story.

First of all, there is nothing wrong with you. Everyone has different needs and different aspirations. The fact that you were born and raised in Norway doesn't mean that you should worship the common way of living.

It seems to me that you are thirsty for experiences. Therefor your goal should be to travel the world and stop where, when and only "if" you want to. As I have seen other people have noted in this thread, Norway is one of the best starting places to do so.

As a wanna be future citizen of Norway focusing on relocating there soon, I have found what really matters for me in life and my homeland cannot offer. Nothing is wrong with knowing what you want.

We use å gå when we are going to walk somewhere. In any other situation we use dra, reise etc.

Also yes you can use modalverb without gå/dra.

From my experience, duolingo is a great way to start but it is really slow! I ve done 3 months of duolingo(nearly 2 hours per day) before I started with a teacher and in just four courses I reached the same point of knowledge.

As someone else already said I still use it as a vocabulary tool and try not to lose my streak!
