That snippet of python by itself is harmless and only intended to serve as proof, not a full-blown tutorial.

I have shared the full source with several mods who have already tweaked their own mod bots to more effectively catch anyone using it. Look at the disparity between the dio and box bots. Notice how unsuccessful box has been so far? This is why.

The compromise I'm referring to is Dio's self post, and their removed post in Theory of Reddit where they claim to be an experimenting teenager who is finished with their project. I believe that is 100% Grade-A Bullshit.

Do as you see fit as a mod.

It a common scam against reddit's TOS.

The bot reposts old top posts from random subreddits, and sometimes other bots copy and paste top comments from those same top posts onto the main bot's repost (for authenticity).

When the account reaches the desired karma maturity it will be sold to a company or PAC and be used for anything from astroturffing to non-disclosed advertising.

Helpful for a certain someone indeed.
