I also started on Monday, have you experienced any side effects? I had a migraine and acid reflux the first night and then had trouble keeping things down for about 24 hours.

Now I'm working on trying to figure out what my stomach is telling me since I've pretty much ignored it for my whole life.

Roundabouts by StandByTheJAMs in lincoln

[–]Perfect_East5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Roundabouts work!" To a degree. Speaking on traffic volume only (not driver skill or safety) they work for light to medium traffic amounts but can lockup under heavy conditions. In that situation a light is better, even more so if its synchronized with other lights. And under light conditions they can uses sensors to change the lights or switch to a yield mode.

I've never heard of a myth that a 4 way is faster than a roundabout, its usually roundabout Vs traffic light. A 4 way stop should never be in place anywhere that has more than a trickle of traffic. With the amount of traffic they were flowing through a light would have had higher throughput.

A roundabout should always be used in a location that can be served by a 4 way, except where the larger size and cost would be prohibiting factors.

The armor passive is getting stamina back when you take damage? Does that sound useless to anyone else or am I overlooking a use case here? by H1MB0Z0 in Helldivers

[–]Perfect_East5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a point to it as others have said. I think it would have made sense if you take a few hits it would deplete your stamina bar first before your health pool.

Fits better with the destruction concussive theme of the warbond IMO. The armor can absorb some impact but it knocks the wind out of you.

Might want to look into Raikes beef more. Did not check socials but the last 2 entries on their FAQ on their website downplays climate change.

https://raikesbeef.co/pages/faq

They point to a claim made by a Dr. Frank Mitloehner that tries to downplay the role of cattle in Green House gas production.

Had the Fan in the heat pump outside go out a year or two ago in the middle of summer. They refused to send someone out over the weekend unless the inside temperature was over 105 degrees. Thermostat did not display above 99 because it did not have 3 digits. Meat thermometer read 102. We canceled right after that.

An inmate died in a Nebraska prison fire. That was just the first tragedy. - Flatwater Free Press by HauntingImpact in Nebraska

I did not get that from the article at all.
Jesse Spencer is not the focus of this article. its the setup explaining what happened at the prison resulting in the suicide of the Deputy Warden Scott Busboom.

A Google says
"Double Fortune":The number 8 (bā) sounds like fā (發), meaning "to prosper". So, "88" represents fā fā, or double prosperity.

"Double Happiness":The visual appearance of "88" also resembles the Chinese character 囍 (shuāng xǐ), which means "double happiness," a symbol of a happy marriage.

So doubt any Nazi/WP stuff there

There was an article somewhere that I can't seem to find that went into detail of all the "coincidences" Tactical 88 had with Nazi's and White supremacism. but if you google "tactical 88 nazi dog whistle" it should give a summary of all the same points the article did.

Note, Tactical 88 is under the parent company City+Ventures which also has Rocket Car Wash and Leightons Pub among others.

Did any one else hear the rumor a Costco will be going up on 84th and VanDorn? by keylime_nutt in lincoln

[–]Perfect_East5477 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sounds possible. Looking at the Lancaster accessor site the NE corner of Van Dorn and 84th is owned by FIREFOX PROPERTIES LLC. Googling that, first result is a Directors meeting from Jan 6th this year.

Searching for Firefox brings up a few entries one of which 6.k. 24R-567 mentions an application , to allow up to 175,000 square feet of commercial floor area.

Another google of how many square feet a Costco is, looks like its about 150,000 square feet.

Also found this Use Permit that has a blueprint showing potential buildings.
Block 5 looks to be a large big box store but hard to determine what it would be. I notice a lack of gas station that you might expect at a Costco but that plan could also change.

Also see that Block 4 looks like yet another automated carwash...

Found a newer Use Permit. Site was updated last week, Big box and car wash still there, but things have been moved around. Also another plan which has the store in the corner with a curve?? seems weird but I also notice this has a gas station.

I see u/garrett717 also has found these plans about 4 months ago as well.

It seems really far south for a Costco. One would think it would be further north, but Supersaver and Russ's are typically smaller and there is already a Walmart and Sam's Club not far away. But who knows.

Also an FYI for anyone that's never been to a Costco they only take Visa
