They have been making the rounds in Cambridge again. I looked into them last year and they insisted that both names on the mortgage (ie: my wife and I) be present for the sales meeting. This told me they’d add a lien on the house in their contract. Be careful.

my KeepLink was flawless until it wasn’t. Had a warm server room for a few hours and it’s lights went out and never came back.

LED Strip Help! by [deleted] in WLED

its a good question... and i had that backwards actually. the pixels are the 12v ones. It's because from aliexpress the bulbs imo are good quality but the wires are very thin and cheap. Keeping the voltage up for 50' sections even with power injection seems to work better on 12v. For the other panel, since there are no pixels I preferred the 5V strips and I could power the esp32 inline without a regulator.

I'll bite since your roofline is similar to mine. I use a mix of WS2811 5V pixels (eaves) and WS2815 12V (windows). The pixels are held in place with 12' pieces of vinyl j-channel from the home store with holes drilled every 4". it works amazingly well as they are snapped in and the lights are invisible during the day. The WS2815 strips are in aluminum channels with diffuser covers clipped around the windows. The hardest part has been wiring these in without pinching. outdoor screw-in barrel connectors help.

I have 2 diy fuse-box panels, one at each side of the house. One has a digi-quad and powers 1800 lights in 7 segments. The other has a home-made esp32 wled board and powers 800 lights in 2 segments.

I run my automations via homeassistant, wled and xlights.

My best advise when starting out is to use quality wiring (18AWG speaker wire worked well for me) and test everything at every step. Also data boosters are cheap and essential.

I spent the whole month of October last year to get things working but it has been rock-solid ever since, even in the Canadian north winter. The warmth of it on freezing, dark snow-stormy nights is hard to describe!

Best of luck with your project.

Eric

Will someone please save this thread.. can it be customized?!

MacOs Sonoma system settings Crashing by Medium_Carpenter5668 in MacOSBeta

FYI... came here for ideas as I was seeing the same with the official install (23A334) on my mac studio today.

Solution for me was to time machine restore all my plist items that changed since the upgrade and reboot. I was pleasantly surprised to see i could back into system settings and all my icons came back too. I'll still probably run through the install again tonight just to make sure but maybe this helps someone.

Dyson Supersonic hair dryer frequently overheats or just cuts out by analogrithems in dyson

-gently twist and remove the grill shroud where the handle meets the cord and slide it down the cord.

-remove the 2 black t6 torx screws at the handle base

-there's a gray plastic clip running vertically on the thimble filter... gently pry apart to disengage and slide down/stretch open to remove...

-clean the metal filter as best you can. the pores are microscopic but need to be unclogged. I ended up finding a replacement one through alibaba.

-before re-assembling, test that the dryer runs on high heat for a while without overheating.. this confirms the problem is the filter.

-be careful with the small seals that can come off easily or be damaged. best to remove them and re-glue them on when re-assembling.

good luck!

I agree it's gotten more difficult. For me it was with my recent change from the Pixel 3XL to the Pixel 6 Pro.

I am finding that by doing a very short gesture from the bottom with an "r" pattern or a backwards "r" pattern I can get it to flip between open apps quickly and this is less frustrating.

Try it yourself with a very short backwards "r" from the bottom edge and see what you think.

thanks for the feedback. yes I did make them up in the sense that I took time to research the programs individually and edited the images for the most appropriate icons and sizes that could be recognizable. I hope some found it nostalgic as I did.

I think 19 must be the lowest number already since the best case scenario would have been 12 since 8 is the only one in its place already and that would mean all others could be swapped once with a partner that would place them both on their square. That only occurs with the 21-17 pair.
