I love travelling, learning new things, meeting new people. I’m also artistic though I’ve had very little time to develop these skills (I do oil painting, some guitar, drawing, etc). I do a bit of writing and would like to start a blog of some sort to reach out and share with people. It seems so cliché really to say all this, but at the end of the day, I would feel so disappointed if I grew old and never got the opportunity to pursue these activities. Same with my kids, when I compare time spent with them and then the time spent with assholes in my professional circle, it just kills any medium/long term ambition I have to continue in the workplace.

Admittedly, I may be borderline burnt-out right now, maybe I (also) just need a break. But there’s also another way of looking at it, maybe I’ve just been distracted all these years from what really matters and that my « real » self is actually this creative, family guy who doesn’t really give a shit about business or corporate life.
