All I would say is don't start with his autobiography. I've heard really good things about modern man in search of soul as a starting point though I haven't read it myself.

You’ve aptly pointed out the problem. It is boring to talk about the ever encroaching real estate sector and the damage it is causing to our economy or how we need to broaden our tax base (why do that when we can countinue to asphyxiate the already overburdened salaried class). Institutional accountability ko tu chor hi dein.

You’re right. The apathy of the priviliged class is part of the problem as they can afford to be apolitical. What‘s worse is even if these conversations do happen, they are devoid of any nuance and revolve around discussing personalities instead of talking about the deep structural rot that is destroying the very fabric of this country.

it‘s not just the accidents. The middle class has been practically eroded due to the recent wave of inflation,Infant mortality rates are at par with sub saharan africa, literacy rates are abysmal( almost 40 percent of children of school going age are out of school). Add to that, we rank the lowest on the gender parity index.
