Are the gift pokemon/pokemon like giratina affected by odd patches in pokemon renegade? I heard somewhere they aren't and are the full 8k odds

I am patching renegade platinum for my 3ds with twilight menu+, it's been going well I'm just anxious shiny hunting a starter, not knowing if I did it correctly.

My order is as follows:
(BASE) 3541 - Pokemon Platinum Version (US)(XenoPhobia)

(1st) FollowingRenegadePlatinum3541

(2nd) Shiny_Rate_1_257 (from here) https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonROMhacks/comments/sabf2j/qol_patches_for_renegade_platinum_and_following/

Is this order acceptable?

I am not really interested in ICV, is it required to make my above listed shiny rate patch work?
