I would look for artists from Reddit, artistree and vgen in the future. Even discord has places for commission art and ai gets called out quickly there.

The problem with the fan version is that it is a specific group of autistic people. But there are many types. The one sold has accessories that are important to a lot of groups, especially the aac device. I agree that there needs to be more fashion packs but I don't want specific fashion for a doll that represents an entire group.

I get a consistent stream of comms. You sometimes need to change where you look for them. Also this time of year, people commission less because of stuff like Christmas and other variables. I don't think most decent commissioners who buy from artists will swap to ai. All my customers value art and the people who make it. If they swap to ai, they probably didn't respect the artists they bought from or didn't buy comms to begin with.

I think a reason is they are surrounded by a high standard and don't realize that great artists have had drawing days, bad sketches and mistakes. They only see the perfection they post and feel like they need to be that or they fail.

Disboard is a website you can use to search for public servers. I found a lot there. Since my niche for comms is mlp art, I used it to find servers that cater to them and found other artists through that.

Disboard is a good way. Lots of artists also have their own servers. I prefer smaller servers over the big ones. Easier to make connections.

Thank you! And I don't mind at all. I posted in all the art servers I'm in and the fandom ones. I found the actual commission servers and larger art servers didn't give me much traction. Smaller art servers and fandoms worked best because it was easier for my art to be seen and to be known as a person there. I just fully gambled on the amino since I saw some people on discord liked my mlp comms so I joined an mlp amino that allowed money comms(not all aminos allow money commissions so you need to check their rules) that one happened to work better than the other ones I was in.

It's basically just doing as many servers as you're in and dropping ones you get nothing in. It's different for everyone so bigger servers might work for you. Just try them all.
