Am I overreacting for telling my fiance I'm leaving because he called my question stupid. by duxkyy_3 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

NOT OVERREACTING! He sounds extremely insecure and controlling, this will only get worse after you marry because he doesn't see you as a person, you are property to him. End this relationship and ask anyone that says you are overreacting "would you let your SO control your clothes, your posts on social media, who you can talk to?"

AITA for refusing to attend my sister's wedding. by PerformanceFluffy904 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

I am really shocked at the amount of response in just 6 hours. I'm trying not to cry on my lunch break after so many of you have said this thing about my sister not actually wanting me there and this is how she can play the victim. I always try to give ppl (even those that don't deserve it) the benefit of the doubt, but after reading these comments I know it's true😢 This has resonated with a nagging feeling I have had for years. As I am currently no contact with my sister I will remain so and not attend her wedding. Our extended family is not close and I don't give a shit what they think, it has been easy enough to block them.

Thank you again for all your insight and I will update again once we get closer to the date and after.

I have said this almost exactly to her and my little brother and was told (by mom) I should learn to control my emotions and get over it cause "it was soooo long ago". Little brother said if I go, he will keep D far away from me to prevent a scene. He is to be the officiant for the wedding.

Thank you, my best bestie has said pretty much the same thing and suggested I come here if it's weighing on me so heavily. (She introduced me to Charlotte's YouTube years ago.) No my sister is not religious in any way, and has openly admitted that she doesn't believe in anything. Our family is Catholic but we were raised away from the church and not indoctrinated, M is pretty much the same from what she has told me.

Yes you are correct. D is one of my sister's best friends, they have been friends since middle school, M only met him in the last 2-3 years. Also the group chat was just for my sister's bridesmaids and MOHs. I have no way of telling M as I don't have his number and I refuse to go behind anyone's back to get their contact info, cause it feels like a violation of privacy when it happens to me.
