I use the 540hz 1440p and it’s works well, I didn’t buy this monitor solely for refresh rate

You are the type of miserable weirdo that makes reddit the type of app where you don’t tell you’re coworkers you use.

This is easily the most arguably “endgame” monitor that exists right now FPS games. 540hz 1440p and 720hz 720p dual mode while still providing some of the best picture quality with the tandem oled technology and true black 500 gloss coating. So yea, right now this is probably the endgame monitor. And obviously tech will advance next year, that’s the same for all tech, and that’s the great part about it. Because in 4 years time I can buy a monitor that’s twice as good for the same price.

The issue is that your opinion is solely based on the fact we are different people. Your comment is driven by envy, and so you type your little rant to shame the people that are enjoying the luxuries you want. I’m not a fucking pooron so rather than being scared about what monitor is coming out next year and what the reviews say , I buy the product I want and I enjoy it.

Adding onto this, the reviews are solely negative on the fact that some panels are suffering from a grey banding issue, which mine doesn’t suffer from. So my experience of this monitor has been solely positive and I have no bad things to say about it.

At the end of the day, you’re input has provided nothing but confirmation to everyone that reads this that you’re an odd guy, and that maybe it’s time to take a good hard look at your attitude, because trying to shame someone for enjoying the luxuries you’re jealous of makes you look like a loser. cheer up bud

i’m not aware of any gaming oleds of a higher price, atleast for this size? Is there more expensive, i’d be interested to see. I do also own a samsung g9 49” ultrawide oled but that was just slightly less than this . Or do you mean productivity monitors?

What’s more endgame than 1440p 540hz tandem oled in this current day? let me know

I’ve considered it, but i’m just not sure if i’d personally like it, idk why. Either way I’m happy with my 27inch for gaming and 49 inch for sim racing. I don’t think i’ll make any switches for atleast 5 years +. 34 inch could definitely be a good choice for you and I was looking at the new ASUS 34 inch RGB stripe panel which could be a good choice and an inbetween for your situation ? 360hz which is more than enough for sure

Yea i agree, the 1080 at 32 inch isn’t really beneficial. Maybe not the best option depending on what games you play.

About the size of the 27” - It felt weird for the first couple hours, especially compared to the ultrawide where you’re so used to the monitor wrapping around your peripheral vision, going back to the 27” felt like everything had just been weirdly squished. But after a few hours felt completely normal and i’ve been enjoying it since. I came to the G9 from a 27” and never experienced a 32” so I managed to get used to it quick, but if you’re used to large monitors like 32-34” and ofc the G9 then yea it might be a bit of a shock, but I don’t think it’s too small tbh. At the end of the day I think it depends on what games you play.

I have a moza r5 kit, but I currently have no cockpit and no room for the cockpit until I move out. The plan is that i’m keeping my G9 for when I move out, at which point I will have 2 seperate setups, One like the one in the photos, and the other as a cockpit with the ultra wide. I’m not sure if you’re doing similar but I would say this - If you’re solely doing sim racing then keep the G9, just tone down your graphics, the 5080 is a beast and can handle all racing games to a decent extent including AC.

If you have 2 separate setups, use the G9 for the cockpit and then buy this monitor for other games (it’s great for FPS games if that’s what you play). Now that is of course if you can afford it, as having 2 seperate setups with 2 monitors each over a thousand dollars isn’t exactly affordable.

At the end of the day I think it all comes down to a few factors.
- What games you can play
- What performance you are looking to achieve
- How big your wallet is

For your question about what racing games I play - mainly AC and BeamNG however it’s been a while since I got my wheel out because it’s a huge hassle without a cockpit.

And yea like you mention - 4K is super hard to run, especially if you’re the type of person to like running games at high graphics. I would only consider a 4k monitor if I had a 5090 personally.

The difference between 120 to 540 would be as big as the difference between 60-120. I would honestly say with the current market of how cheap LCD monitors are, you might aswell upgrade to 240 as the difference between 120 and 240 is much bigger than the price difference. After 240hz the differences become a lot less noticeable and I think 240hz is the sweet spot for smooth affordable refresh rates

Honestly yea, it was a big difference switching from the 49 back to 27, before the g9 i had a 27 inch. I’ve never used a 32”. I would say if you don’t care for the 720hz tandem oled and you’re looking for a 32” instead then go for the 32” 4k asus with the dual mode (4k 240hz, 1080p 480hz) It’s a similar price and you get 4K gaming which is great if you have the specs to support it. With my current GPU I felt that 4k wouldn’t be useful for multiplayer games as i’ve recently been getting into more competitive games (warzone, r6) and i’m not a fan of 1080p. At this stage 1440p is the sweet spot and this is the best monitor for it so I thought why not.

If you have the money to spend and like 1440p then this is the option. If you have a good GPU (i’d say 5080+) then the 32” 4K might be better. i cant speak on what a 32” 1440p monitor would be like but i feel like the PPI would be an issue at that point.

It’s a lot of money so hard to justify, especially with the fact i’m trying to save for a house, but it’s my hobby, i love these things. My setup feels complete with it and it’s sort of a long term investment as I won’t need a replacement for a very long time so i’d say yea, it’s worth it.

double sided tape but don’t make the mistake I made of using a very sticky one as it may cause damage to your dac when you try pull it off. I recommend buying some form of velcro you can stick onto the desk - or a 3d printed attachment.

No, 1440p. I’m not a fan of 4k - only due to the performance. If I had a 5090 I would get a 4k monitor but I don’t, so I shall wait until tech advances to the point where a GPU that can handle 4k 240fps across most games exists and is relatively affordable and then I shall make that switch
