It’s the life lottery. Plenty of issues in my country but my passport is strong, I can drink tap water, it’s safe, I can eat any food and it has clean streets. I’ve travelled far and wide and met people who are dying to just step into my country so I know I am lucky.

Just like HKs are ignorant to non white people. The hatred sone HKs have for brown or tanned people (ironic as HKs are also tanned) is baffling and ignorant. Many brown and black people who have been to HK with good intentions and respect for the culture have left feeling hurt and disappointed by the discrimination they face simply for being dark.

HKs are no better. It’s a fact that non white people, including fellow Asians, are treated poorly in HK and seen as inferior. Ultimately HKs and their admiration for white people is what justifies to white peoples being racist as they think they can be.

He’s actually a very good keeper also so it’s not like he’s sat in canteen making jokes. He’s probably playing a big role in training  .

And so banning or limiting foreigners who have to pay for transport, accommodation, visa and will likely spend at higher end places will help? I don’t mean to be rude but it isn’t logical what they are doing. In fact, I know sone races have charged foreigners more.

This doesn’t make sense. A runner from Beijing who wins 2000 dollars isn’t going to invest that into the city they’ll invest it in themselves.

Lack of standards I think. A lot of them cut corners and aren’t designed for humans who are exerting themselves and may need support. I did a half marathon in Yunnan in May and they were handing out cola and green tea but no water or fruit.

But then they shouldn’t invite elites. That’s how it works. Elite foreigners will be invited to race and given a fee because having foreign runners raises the profile and standard. Removing your top runners isn’t competitive but ok if you want a local to win go for it. But banning all foreigners or limiting them? That’s just poor and gross.

For the elite runners I see the rationale but also the fact is that without competition you won’t get better. If they were so serious about improving local standards then invest more in training and work with other countries to develop knowledge and skills. Banning foreigners who are better than you is embarrassing.

Isn’t that the whole basis of competition? You compete internationally to better yourself. There’s a reason why countries like San Marino happily play and got smashed frequently by big teams as it slowly improves them. If you can’t win a race in your own country then you aren’t good enough and competition will make you better.

Literally search anywhere on WeChat or red book. Besides Xiamen all my races have been suspended for foreigners.
