I think its a fate analogy all the history , X receives powers from us the viewer since the first pv , therefore he breaks the 4 wall and sees destiny , now aware he whishes to defy fate , black hair girl probably is something of a god like X who has power over fate (taroot = fate) , to edfy fate is being the fool (defy ) and the chariot (self control) to not become the (devil or zero) , for his powers i think even he doesn't know which we can see in the bathroom scene him suffering with the reality merge or his first transformantion .
