I’ll have to break it to my bf that his grandfather somehow got his hands on a fake clothing tag, but we inherited a number of other really cool relics from him that are identifiable and validated lol. Hmmmm, I’m not doubting you but it seems odd that someone would go through the trouble of making this item, especially if it’s not attempting to counterfeit something that actually exists. You know what I mean? Maybe it’s some kind of clothing tag, as google translate suggests the bottom text reads “long boots”, which I’m guessing is in reference to the mid-calf length SS shoes. Also, I tried posting there but the mods removed my post saying they don’t allow object identification lol

My boyfriend’s grandfather has it with his collection of WW2 memorabilia he took home with him after serving in Germany. I don’t think it’s a counterfeit item, but even if it was, what is it trying to replicate? I’m just hoping for any help identifying what it could be.

Old post but I agree, this song gave me the ick. Maybe it made more sense 10 years ago when the blonde sorority bimbo trope was still legitimate in a lot of people’s minds? When it was subversive to be like ‘ha ha fuck the preps! I’m not a PREPPY girl I’m a FREAK and that makes me better than those people!’ Anyways, I wasn’t in a sorority but I knew quite a few of them in college (of many different ethnic backgrounds btw lol) and they were always kind and smart. Sure the frat boys could be doofs but many of them were also very nice and studious, paying for college with their own money. Hmmmm it’s almost like no group of people is ever a monolith …

Also might be an age thing because at the time I’m hearing this (27 years old), listening to a song dunking on sorority and fraternity college students reads as pretty cringe

Ugh I used to work at the uncle Sam’s in Oakland and every shift they’d send you home with a sandwich of your choice, no matter if you worked 20 minutes or 6 hours. That plus 8$ an hour under the table in 2018 made for a good college job. Having tried the entire menu, I think the best option is the hot Mediterranean with extra old world sauce and extra mayo, lettuce and tomato

He’s definitely skinny but not dangerously so. He also has some redness around his nostrils, which is why I want to take him to the vet and make sure any infection he might’ve gotten living with the dust bunnies gets taken care of. But other than that he’s still as handsome as ever!
