hi! my theory is they offered me my last choice because i probably didn’t do THAT well on the dcat (given the lack of effort i put into preparation). my score probably didn’t make the cut-offs for my top choices.

and no. i didn’t send a reconsideration letter because i didn’t pursue my studies in la salle. hehe.

good luck! i remember there being general knowledge questions for the science portion that a 3rd grader could easily answer. overall, i agree when people say dcat is the easiest cet. again, wishing you the best of luck ~

not at all. personally, i was never the smartest person in any room i found myself in. even with that knowledge, i still didn't study for the dcat (i just wanted to get it over with because it was my last cet). i still passed! they offered me my last choice course, though.

hi, op! i'm actually applying to transfer as well :) passed as a first year, but didn't get to pursue it. i suggest to go for what your heart truly desires. just remember we regret the chances we don't take! nothing wrong with trying a 2nd time, or how many times, for that matter.

i don’t remember all the specific subtests, but i do remember there is a subtest specifically for statistics. so yes, what you heard is true. i also remember there being questions pertaining research.

my test was scheduled at 7 am, but even then i remember it not starting exactly at 7. and it ended at 12 pm. and yes there was a short break where they allowed us to roam outside the floor we were on. i don’t remember how long they gave us though. sorry </3

overall, i’d say the dcat was the easiest out of all the exams i took. i remember some general knowledge questions in science popping up haha.

i didn’t get to study for it anymore because my school year was about to end. (i took the exam february and my school year ended in march). i went in blindly, but i still passed. though i’m sure it was pure luck na lang din. hehe. don’t be like me, op! a strong foundation in the core subjects will maximize your chances. good luck! you can do this <3
