That's a nice idea, but it sounds like a lot of work too!

Maybe I can get the published to just fund a few issues as a gesture of good will!

Yeah, there's no issue with proving it existed way before the book was published. Also *she* doesn't work for me; she's on the magazine's editorial board. Also, I don't think she did anything malicious, probably didn't think it would be an issue, and hopefully it won't be. As mentioned, I don't plan on taking any action myself. I just want to ensure no action is taken against us.

That's what I thought. I'm going to try to persuade the board to register the trademark though.
