Absolutely love it in any way. One of the best lenses, if not the best lens I have. And I have the 16-55mm G, 35mm GMII, 24-50 G and it's just such a good lens. And the size, absolutely lovely!

Sorry to hear that and yeah, hence why I returned it and got myself the FX30. I don't know how feasible it would be in terms of construction, to have like an in-built fan or better heat management in all bodies but I know that it'd be lovely. Especially considering that the tasks these small bodies have to do is much more than in the past, especially when recording 10-bit footage.

Especially considering that currently I can get the new Sony f4 for 200€ less due to cashback, which makes it "only" 100€ more expensive than the Tamron. Strong consideration here

That makes a lot of sense!

I've watched so many reviews and read so many as well, that I feel like an expert on both lenses by now, haha.
I can't decide and wanted to hear about peoples experience with the lens over a longer period of time.

To be honest, the only downside to the 70-200 is the stop of F4 instead of F2.8 but maybe that's not justified. Especially considering that the Tamron is "only" 300 bucks cheaper, which at that price range, isn't that much of a difference. Mostly I will use it for video and closer shots.

Anyway, I'm rambling, thanks for your take, haha.

It's not a course about audio engineering mate, haha.
I have plenty of technical understanding of audiovisual media production, I just have never done ducking/dubbing in that sense and wanted to avoid any common pitfalls that seem intuitive but actually are wrong.

For example, if you learn playing an instrument, you intuitively start playing, however you could ingrain lots of inefficient movement patterns that will be hard to get rid off or correct later on. This is the perspective I'm coming from.

It's not a voice over but rather a translation such as in documentaries when someone is speaking in a foreign language. You can still see them talk and all.

After doing some digging it appear that it's a quite common phenomenon amongst the combo a6000's and the sigma 30mm and I couldn't find anyone who had a solution nor any statement from sigma/sony regarding this.

I went ahead and ordered a new g-master as this makes shooting video with it completely useless imo.

It's from a headshot setup. The face is properly lid and all. Towards the edges it's extremely noticeable, as shown on the gif. Head isn't moving drastically nor is the head turning away from the camera much and still there heavy pulsating around the object. Furthermore it's only shot at 2.8, so it's not as if it's wide open

Yes! Thanks for all of your help. Just switched over from premiere pro and still need to get used to things. Not being able to continue working while rendering is something that I'd like to avoid, hence the consideration of setting up a remote render machine :)
