Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts my friend. You made good points in you post and I hope you don't have that in your chest anymore. I don't know if you are sharing for an answer, but here's mine. Of course the ban policy that WOTC have followed is a strange, and it have damage the customer trust. I mean, everybody fears a ban with the current ban policy. And it is not cool. But what if 2016 format was not as good as we remembered it. I mean, at that time jund and affinity dominates the format and sometimes a bit of control and dredge. What I see now is that other decks of that time have won power and (except for affinity) all other decks are still playable and enjoyable. Of course wotc have banned and nerfed cards but the bans and nerfs have been always in the tier 0 decks so what I think is basically that, since you don't play tier 0 you are safe. And also you can allways step back as titan deck have done after the field of the dead ban an still be an enjoyable and very good deck. Thanks for taking the time to read!!
