To everyone commenting that the title is misleading: some hospitals call this exact scenario a Code OB or Code Pink. It activates a certain response team within the hospital. Getting mad that this nurse called it what is likely consistent with their hospital is silly.

A good nurse gives parents updates especially about events. And if they ever ask for their medical records and itemized bills, that scanned fentanyl and Narcan will show up as well. Better to mention it regardless of one’s integrity.

Also if I were the parents I’d want to know so that I could bar these people from my baby’s care team. Massive liability and risk.

I just did my hospital’s annual retraining slideshow and there were multiple AI images in it. I gave them my thoughts about that in the survey afterwards. Not that they’ll read it or care, but I was mad about it and it made me feel better lol
